Can we get some context here please? What’s the reason for this animation? What does October 24 have anything to do with the matrix? (Google doesn’t show any) Also is it only in the new unreleased firmware update, or will version 1.1.0 also do this?

I have no idea what the relevance to 24 October is, and I do not have the unreleased firmware, this Easter egg is available in the current firmware.

I thought maybe it had been the release date, or a date mentioned in one of the Matrix movies. So you just found it accidentally then? I guess I won’t see it for awhile until it’s after midnight here.

Hey @mariomart Just did it as well, said EMO: Look at me and got the same animation. I took a recording of it as well :slight_smile:

I’ve tried doing it 2-3 times after that and the animation didn’t happen again haha. So it seems it’s a once off for me at least.

You need to power cycle EMO (turn off and then on) if you want to try again. Have fun :grin:

Great! haha. thanks! I’ll try it again, the video I took was nice and clear so don’t need to do it again. But be nice to see him do it once again.

FYI,
On YouTube at the Superdan Tech channel, Dan posted a new video today showing one more new feature (Stickers) which will be in the new firmware upgrade. Stickers allows you to create and upload pictures or graphics to customize EMO’s face. He says the new firmware will be released in a couple days, so I assume before the weekend is over? I don’t believe he normally uploads his videos here, so hopefully he won’t mind if I do?

The stickers look pretty cool, and the ability to add JPG / PNG images to his display screen is also quite interesting as well. Thanks for sharing this out. :+1:

FYI, there is an “Easter egg” animation for Thanksgiving. They got the date wrong so you’ll see it today, Friday Nov26. If you want to see what it looks like but you don’t have your EMO yet, there is a video by Wayne (EMO Lives) on YouTube.
