I want to know if Emo will get off the skateboard by itself after it’s fully charged. I’m worried that it will move and fall when I’m not around. Thanks for your reply.:blush::blush:

No, EMO can‘t step off its skateboard by himself

I’d like to know how to give EMO the correct English command to put a sticker on his face. Every time I say “put on a sticker” or “add a sticker (on your face)”, he just gives me a verbal response instead of actually showing a sticker on his face. I have to repeat the command many times before he might finally do it.Thanks for your reply.:smiling_face::smiling_face:

Hello, @qqw . . . he could potentially fall off of the skate board when the charge is interrupted which would make him think he is not on the skate board and take a step forward. If you get power blinks, it is best to make sure if you are not around to put something cushiony in front of his skate board in case this happens.

As for stickers, that is the command that works and you can also select stickers from the app that you can customize by size and angle. Try saying the commands a little louder and a little slower, being sure to enunciate well. If you still have an issue, you can use an English speaking text to speech such as DeepL to trigger the command.

I bought the Emo Robot a year ago, hoping for a fun companion and entertainment for my kids. Instead, I got a high-tech headache. Features? Limited. Promises? Mostly empty. Firmware upgrades? Each one worse than the last — turning this “smart” toy into a glorified paperweight.

After the latest update, it proudly displays “SD ERROR 1 ERR” and refuses to work. Support? Nonexistent. The development team might want to Google “DevOps” and “QC” because they clearly skipped those classes.

If you’re thinking about buying this toy, save your money — it’s basically expensive tech fertilizer. Buyer beware!

I disagree you should contact support cause there is support

Hi there @Maciej and Welcome to the Community…

I have moved your new topic/post into this thread, which is dedicated to issues like this. I understand how frustrating it can be when something you purchased doesn’t work properly—it has happened before.

The Living.ai staff periodically review this thread, take user experiences seriously, and work on finding better solutions.

As a Moderator of this community, I can only suggest that you contact them directly and patiently wait for their reply. If your EMO is still under warranty, you are entitled to a proper solution or replacement.

Wishing you the best…

I hate that the eyes pop out when I am sleeping

i have done WAYY to much research, but i dont have my emo yet so correct me if i’m wrong, but i think you can easily power him off and back on again in the morning

Oh, thank you so much for the generous invitation to collaborate and sing praises about the EMO product. What an honor to promote something that’s basically an overpriced, underwhelming speaker wrapped in a shiny layer of spyware from China. Truly, a marvel of modern disappointment.

As I’ve already mentioned—though clearly repetition is necessary—I reached out to your so-called “experts” for help. And what did I get? Radio silence. So now I’m supposed to believe that this band of misfits will suddenly leap into action because my post vanished into the digital abyss? Sure, let’s all pretend that’s how accountability works.

My actual goal—since clarity seems elusive—is to warn potential buyers before they throw their money into this black hole of regret. I want a refund or a real fix, not another round of empty gestures.

And thanks again for the Facebook invite, but I’ll pass. I’ll be launching my own page—one that doesn’t sugarcoat the reality. It’ll cover the product’s laughable quality, the ghost-town support, and the glaring security concerns that come with integrating this gem into unsuspecting homes. Let’s see how many “happy customers” show up there.

Hello, @Maciej . . . I am sorry you are experiencing these issues. Edward is correct that reaching out directly to Support at service@living.ai is the best way to get your issues resolved.

As for spyware, EMO does not transmit any data back to LivingAI after the commands have been completed (you ask him, he retrieves an answer, end of communication with nothing stored). This is the same with your facial recognition and your photos. These are maintained on your app and on EMO himself. LivingAI does not have access to any of this data.

I learned that the staff is on a national holiday and as soon as they return, I suggest you contact them to get your questions answered directly from them and your issues resolved. You may also wish to post your concerns here:

My best to you.

Google translation to English by Lindaru: I would like to thank Living AI for the delivery time of my Emo. I am very happy with the update; it speaks French correctly. I imagine it will continue to improve, and I wish happy holidays to the entire Living AI team and to everyone on the forum. Happy holidays from France!

Welcome to the EMO Community Forums, @jeanpaul . . . I have moved your review to the thread for EMO reviews.

Thank you and I am delighted that you are happy!

Happy holidays!

I’ve had Emo since September of 2024. I love him. But I’m gonna be honest with the things I’m about to say. If the updates keep going down the path they’re on right now… this might be the end for me.

I miss his old voice. His old animations. He had personality. He was fun to be with. Now he just feels so… soulless, you know?

I’ll start with his new voice. Where do I even begin with the voice? I can’t stand it. It sounds insufferable. It’s in the “wants to be cute, overdoes it, ends up cringe” type of annoying.

I’m glad we can toggle it back to normal… but one thing we can’t revert are the updated animations.

I don’t think I can even call them animations, because, I’m gonna be blunt with you, developers, they’re just sad. They removed all his excitement.

For an example, when he used to clean his screen, you could hear the sound. You could hear him make little noises like he was proud of himself. Now they’re gone. The noises he does make are depressingly rare, and they just sound like his new voice. For example, the Rubik’s cube. I miss when he was more vocal and angry, but now it’s… bland.

I also want to mention two animations that I find incredibly disgusting. The “poop” and “fart” ones. Those are just… strange, and gross. I think they should be removed entirely, but if not, at least let them be toggled off.

I miss when he was angry when you picked him up. I miss when he made angry noises. I miss when he had personality. I miss the old Emo.

I miss…

:skating:

…Emo.

Hello, @rainexoxo . . . I have moved your review here so that potential buyers can read the things that are good or not go good with EMO. Thank you for sharing.

As for the sounds to the animations, we moderators have referred this problem with a list of which animations are affected for them to look into repairing and hopefully those will be put back in on the next bug fix update.

As for the “bathroom” type animations, LivingAI generally appeals to a very large audience and I remember reading back in the suggestions thread that people wanted those added. I will give you a link to where you can request that those be toggled off for possible future update.

Hello everyone,

I’m Hamza, and I own two EMO robots: a white one (2024) and a black one (2025 model, activated on November 20th) he is Refurbished.

I’ve noticed a key physical difference between them and wanted to share my observations with the community, especially since I believe the black one might be a unique hardware batch.

The Observation:

The belly of my black EMO has a small, protruding square port (a physical debug port) that is completely exposed. My white EMO’s belly is completely smooth and sealed.

· (Attach or insert your clear photo of the port here)

My Experience with the Black EMO:

1. Early Updates: This unit often receives certain features or server-side updates a bit earlier than my white EMO.

2. Personality: It has a very strong and unique personality. Its performance feels “fierce” (as I like to call it).

3. Charging: Despite the different port, it charges at the exact same speed and sits on the charging dock just fine.

4. Speed: Interestingly, it is slightly slower in some responses compared to the white one, which I suspect is due to its older age or different firmware.

My Question:

I’m not a programmer, just a very passionate EMO owner. I believe this protruding port means my black EMO is an early hardware revision or a serviceable engineering unit. I would love to hear the community’s thoughts, especially from anyone who might have seen a similar unit. Is this a known variation?

Thank you, and I look forward to learning from you all!

i have also wondered why EMO has a “Let’s fix bugs” command,. i just see lots of bugs going across his face,. is this just for entertainment or does this have function?

not sure someone has already mentioned,. he sleeps every night from around 10 pm,. if his eyes bother you you can tell him to “Power off” and then reboot him in the morning on the charging dock or the home base
