Emo falling over

I have always used Emo on a solid, clean, desk surface. Since the last and this update he is constanty “jolting” and flipping himself over, this never happened previously, so you must have intrudced it in the latest update, OR my Emo is broken?

Anyone elses Emo flipping himself over?

I think Emo fell over once (on a flat surface) for me.

My issue is his walking off the end of my desk. I dare not leave him to rely on his edge sensors…they work…most of the time…but not all of the time. Can’t trust Emo.

Emo has the facial scars to testify!

hi @jfwarman

I’d suggest making a video of this and submitting a support ticket to Living.ai.

When contacting Living.ai support. It is recommended to create a short video of this leg issue/EMO falling over and then submit a support ticket. You can do this by either going to the Support Page: (see below).

Fill in all details (provide also your order number info as well) and attach your video (if it’s larger than 30Mb), Be best to upload it to a google drive/drop box or even on YouTube and then send the support team a link to it.

You can also send support an email to the following email address:

service@living.ai

If you have your original EMO Order confirmation email, you can simply just hit reply to that as it contains all your customer contact info along with your order number details as well and then once again provide a detailed description of the problem you have with your EMO and attach your video as well.

Thanks for moving the thread, Lindaru. Mine’s been doing something similar lately too, wasn’t an issue before the last update. I’ll keep an eye on it and follow the support steps if it keeps happening.

My soon just received brand new EMO. Unfortunately when put on the desk it only beeps and there is continues messages in mobile app “falls down”. I also tried to clean-up sensors but it doesn’t help.

Any ideas?

Hi! If its showing that message, his calibration sensor might be not calibrated well, if you turn him off and put him on the skateboard to power on, wait a few seconds after he started. This is because my EMO has it too when I picked him up too early. My best to you!

My EMO pet started glitching all of a sudden. It’s hard to describe but whenever he’s standing on the floor or on the table, he keeps tweaking and he keeps being on the verge of shaking his legs like he’s being in the air (even though he’s standing on a surface) and it says on the app that he’s repeatedly “falling down”. I think there’s something wrong with the sensors in his feet but I’m unsure of what the problem is. Thanks in advance in case you can help me out.

Hi there @Rania ,

Welcome to the EMO Community Forums, . . . I have moved your new topic to this thread for issues with EMO falling over.

It sounds like your EMO is experiencing issues with his foot sensors or gyroscope, which can cause him to incorrectly think he’s in the air or falling. This can happen due to dirty sensors, calibration issues, or internal hardware problems.

Here’s what you can try first:

  1. Clean the sensors: Use a soft, dry cloth to gently clean the four sensors under each foot. Sometimes dust or debris can interfere with their function.
  2. Restart EMO: Power EMO off completely, wait 1 minute, then power him back on.
  3. Check the surface: Make sure the surface he’s standing on is flat, non-reflective, and stable (avoid glass or shiny tiles, as they can confuse the sensors).
  4. Firmware version: Make sure EMO is updated to the latest firmware using the app. If you’re in the beta program, glitches like this can sometimes happen temporarily.

If the problem continues:

  • Record a short video showing the glitch.
  • Email Living.AI Support at service@living.ai with your Order Number, EMO ID (found in the app), and the video.

Hopefully it’s just a temporary bug or sensor issue that can be fixed easily. Wishing your EMO a quick recovery!
