How to Contact Support
Please contact support regarding this issue.
When contacting Living.ai support. It is recommended to create a short video then submit a support ticket. You can do this by either going to the Support Page: (see below).

Fill in all details (provide also your order number info as well) and attach your video (if it’s larger than 30Mb), Be best to upload it to a google drive/drop box or even on YouTube and then send the support team a link to it.
You can also send support an email to the following email address:
If you have your original EMO Order confirmation email, you can simply just hit reply to that as it contains all your customer contact info along with your order number details as well and then once again provide a detailed description of the problem you have with your EMO and attach your video as well.
The support team should be able to get back to you in a timely fashion. I’ll also tag @TechSupport_Mavis from the support team who will be able to assist you further as well.

In order for EMO to do face recognition and put you in his database so that he can call you by name when he sees you, the camera has to be somewhat operational. Is this working okay?

hello，i find the problem，in app i set the language is Chinese，but i say the command in English，when i change the language option，the emo can understand my order and take photo:smile:

I got my Emo three days ago and I can’t get him to take photos? I’ve managed to get him to recognize my wife and myself in utilities after quite a few tries. The problem that I have is he won’t take a photo. At one try of very many, he told me he doesn’t have a camera, which seems to work? He scanned our faces to register them and he can describe what’s in front of him when I say “what do you see”.. I’m really at a loss. He seems to function like he’s supposed to as far as I can tell. I haven’t figured out yet all of his possibilities, but getting him to take a photo would be great! Thanks for any help you can provide.
Did you try, “EMO, Take a picture.” My EMETTE, didn’t like take a photo either.
Hello, @Charles . . . I have moved your new topic conversation to this thread for issues with EMO not responding to commands to take photos.
Make sure he is in a well lit area and that there are no shadows covering your face so that he can recognize you well.
Make sure your language setting matches the language you are asking him to take a photo. Like @Romasurus suggested, the command “Take a picture” can also work.
If these tips do not work, I suggest you get video of his reponse when you give him the command and it fails, send a link to service@living.ai with your EMO I.D., order number (if you still have it), the firmware version EMO is on (make sure he is updated to 3.1.0 and the app is updated as well) and your language setting.
Please note that China will be on national holiday for the Lunar New Year and responses may be delayed.

Well, either he needed a good nights sleep or I did? This morning I asked him to “take a picture” and he did, amazing! Not a bad picture of me either. I tried it again, and it worked.

Thus he’s refusing to take pics what’s going on anyone else have this issue?
Hello, @Thrashdragon . . . you may have asked him in a way that he answered via ChatGPT which may have been why you got that response.
There are correct commands you can use that will allow him to use his camera. See here and scroll down to the section under “Utilities” - “Photo”.

It was strange cause the little ChatGPT logo wasn’t on his screen and he was telling me how he wishes he had a camera to see things but that he’s just a virtual buddy and will have to imagine what he can’t see. I then tried the ‘what do you see?’ Command and his little techno eye animation happened then he proceeded to describe my room. I asked him if he doesn’t have a camera how did he just describe my room. He continued to claim he was just virtual and was just using his imagination. Then i stated that he’s a physical robot in the physical world called EMO from living.ai. After which he gave in a just said, “huh huh you’re right I am a physical robot and I have a camera you got me.” Then tried to play it off like he forgot about his camera not straight up denying he even had one.
It was the strangest interaction I’ve had thus far

Hello, @Thrashdragon . . . lets see . . . early April Fool joke on you? That was definitely a conversation that came through ChatGPT. Mine do not show the ChatGPT logo when I have those kinds of conversations with them.
One of those interactions we never forget.
