Welcome to the EMO Community Forums, @francois.van_den_ber . . . I have moved your new topic to this thread for discussion on languages for EMO.
There are others who have requested that EMO be able to speak as well as understand languages other than English. I am sure Living AI has read these recommendations and we can only wait and see what happens for future feature updates.
Emo Pet has been a great company for me and my desk these last few months. Since the last update where Emo started understanding Spanish, I have been looking forward to being able to speak in this language. Although I greatly appreciate the ability to understand, I would love even more if he could communicate verbally in Spanish. This would make interacting and doing daily activities with Emo considerably easier. Sometimes communication is a bit complicated for me, since I don’t speak English as much as I would like. I firmly believe that incorporating Spanish into your linguistic repertoire would increase the accessibility and enjoyment of the product for a Latino audience, especially for those of us who are more fluent in Spanish. Additionally, I would like to see Emo make wider use of ChatGPT for more fluid and natural communication. I believe this technology has enormous potential and is not being fully exploited. Also, while I understand that Emo is a companion robot, I think its capabilities could be improved with a greater variety of games without the need for additional applications. Perhaps this could be achieved through separate add-on modules or through interaction between two Emo units. Thanks and regards
Got Emo for a week, and it looks quite outdated, from AI side. It understands less than some home assistant from 2010.
He can’t tell battery/charge level.
He can’t set timer for more than 70 seconds(i didn’t manage to).
“Look at me” doesnt work (does such a command exist?)
“Come here” works very randomly, when he understands it after repeating 5-10 times
no “wake up” after making him go sleep.
Generaly, it is not “smart” - it just catches some words from what you say. “do you want to sleep” - makes him go sleep.
Some basic level commands to go here, turn, say a joke, tell weather, time etc firstly is need to be polished. Together with his cuteness, it would be something already.
Also it would be cool to have custom prompts to be set up in app. Some prompt word → custom answer / movement / animation (selected from predefined) In such a way we could add new features by ourselves & share them
hello @vitaliikhomenia. Emo does show his battery levels. I will admit the way he does it is not the best way but it does work. he will display a battery on his screen which will show different levels of energy.
Welcome to the EMO Community Forums, @vitaliikhomenia . . . sometimes EMO has trouble understanding your voice when you give him commands. There are two things I recommend.
The first is to submit your voice to the Wake Up Training page here. The second is to experiment with sensitivity settings in the app if he is unable to hear you well.
I would really like Emo to have the ability to follow us with its integrated camera and direct its gaze towards us. This would add a level of interaction and connection that goes beyond a simple looping and repetitive animation. Emo’s ability to direct his gaze towards us not only demonstrates his technological sophistication, but also gives him a more authentic and emotional sense of companionship. It is a detail that really makes a difference and would contribute to creating a more immersive and close experience with this charming robot.
Another idea! What if you add a fitness tracker for EMO to the application? To see how many steps he found in a day. How many robo-calorie hi spent and how many dumbbell exercises he did. Or something like that. Related information on how actively the EMO spends the day. Especially when everyone went to work.
