EMO Wake Up Sensitivity Setting
You can adjust EMO’s wake-up sensitivity (his response to the word “EMO”) in the Settings and Preferences section of the EMOPET app.
This setting is especially useful if you want to reduce or prevent EMO from responding to background sounds — like when you’re talking to someone nearby or when there’s audio coming from the TV or radio.
If EMO reacts too often to random sounds, lowering the sensitivity can help minimize those accidental wake-ups.
Play Rock-Paper-Scissors with EMO on a place with bright light. The commands are “Rock, Paper, Scissors” or “Let’s play Rock Paper, Scissors” with a proper distance of 10-12 inches in front of his face.
See the demo video here.
When playing, please try to let EMO see what you throw.
EMO’s HomeStation usually takes about 2 to 3 hours to fully charge him from low battery to 100%.
- Almost empty to full: around 2–3 hours
- Partial charge: shorter, depending on battery level
Living.ai official said it is safe to leave the Home Station and EMO 24/7

Say the command “Don’t move” or “Hands up” to EMO first.
Wait until you see the red crosshair appear on his screen.
Then, from a proper distance and in a well-lit area, say “Bang” or “Boom” while making a hand shooting gesture.
Make sure:
- The room is bright enough
- You’re not too close or too far from EMO
- His face/camera area is clearly visible
That should trigger the interaction properly ![]()
