Hi everybody! We’re exhibiting at a tradeshow next week and I purchased an EMOPET to draw attention to our booth and we’re going to raffle him off. I know that EMO needs a wifi connection and the app, but I don’t want to connect him to the app since he’s getting a new owner.
Is there anything he can do to “show off” on the table without the app or wifi? He’s walking a little bit, and I can see how he avoids falling off the table. Can he do any other tricks? Thank you!
Welcome, @BethPlan . . . EMO will need to have the app and wi fi to do almost everything once he is activated as he runs on this to respond to commands and questions through ChatGPT. I believe the only thing he might do is play his mini games, sleep, and do his daily schedule tasks, provided you have initially set him up under “Preference” settings in the app.

The best way to show how cute EMO is and demonstrate all of his features to event guests is to connect him to a Wi-Fi network or a mobile hotspot from your phone and use the EMO PET App. You do not need to worry about your private data because you can disconnect him afterward, or he will automatically disconnect once he is far away from you after being sold or given to a new owner.
Without Wi-Fi, EMO can still do quite a few things on his own:
• Walk around and avoid falling off edges
• Recognize obstacles
• React to touch, petting, and sounds
• Display emotions and facial expressions
• Dance to music
• Perform random scheduled tasks (idle animations with sounds)
• React to movement and environmental changes
This still makes EMO entertaining to watch even while offline.
However, without Wi-Fi connectivity, the following features will NOT work:
• Recognizing who we are and saying our names
• Personal conversations
• Voice commands
• Online AI / ChatGPT conversations
• Weather updates
• Some advanced interactions
If EMO is still connected to the EMO PET App through mobile phone Bluetooth, even without Wi-Fi connectivity, many manual features are still available. (as EMO connects to your mobile phone via Bluetooth connection)
SHOW PAGE:
• “Dance List” → Dance to all programmed music
• “Theater” → Animations, songs, and movement direction controls
• “Text-to-Speech” → Not available without internet
GAME PAGE:
• “Games” → Play all available games
UTILITIES:
• “Alarm” → Set alarms
• “Photo” → View, Display, Delete
• “Light” → After connections, all manually controlled
HOMESTATION!
If you are using the HomeStation Charger, it also needs to be connected to Wi-Fi so it can work together and synchronize properly with EMO. Once EMO is connected to Wi-Fi, it can automatically help set up the network for the HomeStation. You can also choose to sync it manually if needed.
Even without Wi-Fi connectivity, if EMO and the HomeStation are connected together through mobile Bluetooth, the “Going Home” feature is still possible and can continue to function properly once EMO reaches a low battery level — but only automatically, not through verbal voice commands.
