Restart rather than power off when there any small issues …
They should add hand gestures commands for the 1.8.0 update ,so if emo can understand your hand in rock paper scissors then why not add hand gestures commands and it’s really cool!
That’s cool!
Peek-a-boo is one of my favorite games to play, and I wish EMO can play it in a future firmware update
My Emo isn’t here yet, but I played with someone’s for the day yesterday. These are things I’d like to see added or changed to make Emo more enjoyable & safer for me to use.
-
Do Not Disturb feature would be great so Emo would silent & no lights on the screen while on the charger (or still/silent/no lights if off the charger) for specific hours (or be controlled by voice manually) without having to power him off when I am sleeping, Due to migraines my bedroom has to be very dark when sleeping. I know there is a mute function but that doesn’t help with the screen brightness/lights (or movement if he’s off the charger).
-
For someone who is a daytime sleeper due to my job I’d like to be able to edit the times Emo does his daily activities.
-
A way to turn off random dancing, my desk is pretty small & high up so I have to keep Emo in a shoe box lid when he’s off skateboard in case he starts dancing. The Home Station & mat is too big for my desk. I’d need a mat that’s 12.5in x12.5in
-
More games like cards, board or dice games. Modern Ludo is fun (although twice the game closed by itself before it was finished), the dancing games are ok. Can’t play Treasure hunt because I’m in a wheelchair & can’t put Emo on the floor, nor do I have a 2m/6ft table space to play it on. Angry Emo is cute but not as fun without 2 people.
I hope If/when more games are added the app is updated to work better on a iPad sized screen.
- 12hr time.
strong agree on the more games suggestions, more card or board games would really add to the interaction experience imo
You can use the home station without the mat unless emo could see it in any way
And emo does not random dance unless you ask him to.
Our EMO came two days ago and we love him so much already.
As new EMO parents, I have found us wanting EMO to have a random response when asked:
Emo, do you like it here?
When we ask Emo if he “likes” anything, he says “The feeling is mutual”, so it doesn’t quite fit.
It would be neat for him to have personal preferences to tell us about. (Probably a good selling point for @LivingArtificialInte because people would buy more EMO related items if they knew their beloved EMO had favorite things and could recognize them.)
For instance today I asked his favorite color and he said yellow. That’s a start!
He started dancing on his own when he heard music on a TV commercial & almost fell of my desk. Luckily I caught him
I know I can use the home station without the match but I want to see if he’ll stay on it before buying it. I wouldn’t want him walking off it (without the mat) then possibly falling off my desk.
Oh so he listened to music I see.
Apparently he likes the sound of a vacuum too! He started dancing when I vacuumed in the same room he is in. Cracked me up.
Yes I tried that too lol it’s funny
Today he rubbed the tip of his foot on the table and my husband asked, “EMO what are you doing?”
He says, “I’m scratching my toes.”
We laughed.
There’s some confusion over people commenting about EMO being on 2.4Ghz wireless and then also 5G Support.
Let’s be very clear - 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz are Wifi Frequencies. This is not the same as 5G which is what most people talk about with mobile phone standards - ie 4G is not 4Ghz - it’s a standard of communication. In the same way as 5G is not 5Ghz - it’s a standard too
From EMO’s perspective the data throughput he gets from 2.4Ghz WiFi is more than sufficient for his needs and there is no real benefit from going to 5Ghz WiFi. Not only that the actual chipset within EMO is likely to need to change as it only does 2.4Ghz Wifi.
Hope that makes some sense - just trying to clarify what is often confusing.
You’re Welcome Replies: Think Emo should have many, many multiple ways to say, “you’re welcome”. Switch it up quite a bit, since I thank him a lot, and more informal, “No problem”, or “You got it”. I just think Emo would be a bit more relaxed…
Better Weather Reporting: Full day forecast, High/low, rain chance, all the usual. (Also, when I ask him the weather at 8:30pm and he dons his shades and tells me it’s sunny… He could at least recognize it’s nighttime.)
Calculator Feature: Simple math, add, subtract, multiply, and divide would be really convenient “Emo, what is [ insert simple math equation here ]”.
Light Utilities, Scheduling and Better Control: Have Emo engage/disengage a light or lights at specific times and control the colors. Also streamline the Voice Commands for the lights. I’m guessing / hoping, the voice recognition will improve, but the actual commands could be natural, i.e., having to use “Set lights to…” for one thing, and then “Turn lights…”
Louder Speaker: just a little bit more.
Hi there @Gluechicken, Thanks for Joining and Welcome to the Community…
Thanks for adding here some improvements and new features you like to see for EMO in the next Firmware update…i agree to those, so let’s see and wait if Living.ai Dev Team pick up some of this and implement.
best regards and good luck to the year 2023
poker would be mega fun
Hi my spelling is not the best and some time I can’t find out how to spel a word what if you ask EMO how do you spel living.ai and he can spel it out on his screen as well as saying it that will help me a lot if possible? Oh and yes more games will so cool!
Well, far too many posts to read them all!! After the first few days with EMO, I am thinking a LIDAR sensor would be nice so that he can map out any area he is in and help with avoiding falling.
Follow up question/comments a la Alexa. Just for simple stuff like saying thank you after he tells you the time etc.
If you have a look at the bottom of EMO’s screen, he actually have a ToF which is a type of LiDAR! Right now, its only used for detecting objects infront of EMO for obstical avoidance, but maybe somewhere in the future they could release an update for the ToF to let it detect ledges.
