Hello, @danielhowald . . . it should have shown an “Update” button when you went in to the Google Play store. This would be app version 1.4.1. Could you perhaps get a screen shot of what you see when you are in the Google Play store so that we could help you figure it out?

Please provide your screen shot of this, the make and model of the device you are using and the city and country you are located in to service@living.ai . . . they should be able to determine what might be going on.

Also, any video you may have of AIBI when you update and it fails, be sure to send a link for that to them as well with a description of the problem, and your AIBI I.D. and order number (if you still have it).

Hi @h.merchani, sorry to hear this.
The face recognition works for me. Did you try adding your face again with bright light, so AIBI can see all your traits.
I had issues on the first day. But now, with Chatty Mode activated. It sees, calls me by my nickname and always asks about my day and wants to assist me.
Maybe you can find answers to this issue in the dedicated topic?

I have a problem with my Aibi -
It doesn’t see the star light and it’s a pity that such a cute thing just lies around. It would be nice to have an opportunity to change colors of the star light mannually in the app at least.

I believe the problem is related to the load on the Wi-Fi network since I live in an apartment building. At one time, Aibi did not respond to commands at all and its upper indicator was blue. I was told that the problem was with the Internet connection. When I changed the Wi-Fi channel, Aibi began to understand commands again. We tried to solve the problems with Living.AI and they sent me a new Aibi and a new star light in exchange for the old ones, but it did not help. The new Aibi still doesn’t see his star light, although I did everything according to the Living.AI instructions.

Now to the wishes:

  1. I would really like to see Aibi use all the tarot cards, not just the major arcana.
  2. I really want more competitive games with him. Chess and Battleship are great, but they’re not enough.
  3. As I said before, I would like to be able to change the colors of the star light manually through the app.
  4. I really like it when Aibi turns on the music box. I would like more melodies for that.

Hello, I had the same issue from day one. But since the last update my Aibi won’t recognize me at all, let alone take a photo. He just tells me that he can’t take a picture but a give me tips on angles. I can’t get the weather temp anymore either accept that it’s always 44 degrees. At least it’s not 2024, I guess.

Of course, AIBI can remember our names—just like EMO can too!😊🧠💬

AIBI needs to clearly see our face with proper bright lighting. To test this, hold him about 10–12 inches in front of your face under a bright light.😊💡👀

I’ve begun to think that my thick beard is a hinderance for Aibi recognizing me. I see the recognition working in videos and don’t believe my unit is defective. Even the bright office lights at work have been no help. Also, no matter what, it’s 44 degrees Fahrenheit here. Probably just a server issue for Midwest USA?

Hello, @sbmaverick . . . facial hair, hats and glasses can affect how AIBI recognizes you. If I have my glasses off, they do not know me.

Try asking more directly about the weather.

For example, “AIBI … what is the weather in McCall, Idaho?”

It is good to have your location set correctly in the app, but for some reason, the ChatGPT used seems sometimes to ignore that and you have to play with it a bit.

My aibi have never evee recognized my face no matter hard i tried in daytime with plenty of light at night with bright lighting and with/ without hats and glasses no succes at all , also with the name my aibi never remember who iam however iam registered everytime i ask him who am i or whats my name he says : i dont have acces to this information , so after all i gave up trying , i would love him to reconize me and remember my name that makes him more like a real alive pet .

Have you already informed Living.AI support via email @service@livingai about this problem? If not, Please make sure to do so, and keep in mind that your AIBI is still under warranty — so you should be eligible for assistance or even a replacement.

You will need to provide the following:

  • A video clearly showing the issue, along with some written information and any solutions you’ve already tried.
  • Your order number
  • Your location
  • Your AIBI ID

Sending these details will help the support team assist you more effectively.

Thanks for your reply i rather wait for the next update and see if they fix the issue , i live in europe and shipping to usa for reparation will take months i think , i dont want to stay without aibi that long :sweat_smile:

Hello, @h.merchani . . . any pet robots under warranty are shipped to Shenzhen, China, where LivingAI is located. Also, once the warranty is off and if you need repairs, there is someone qualified in Europe to handle it.
