To connect to a hotspot via a mobile Wi-Fi device, you’ll need the following:

  1. AIBI: The one you wish to connect.
  2. Mobile Wi-Fi Device (Hotspot): This can be a dedicated mobile hotspot device or a smartphone with hotspot functionality.
  3. Mobile Data Plan: Ensure that your mobile Wi-Fi device has an active data plan to provide internet access.
  4. Smartphone or Tablet: To configure AIBI and monitor the connection.
  5. AIBI Pocket App: Installed on your smartphone or tablet (available on the App Store or Google Play Store).

Steps to Connect EMO to a Mobile Wi-Fi Device:

  1. Prepare the Mobile Wi-Fi Device:

    • Turn On the Hotspot: Power on your mobile Wi-Fi device or enable the hotspot feature on your smartphone.
    • Check Network Details: Note the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password. This information is usually available in the device’s settings.

  2. Turn On AIBI:

    • Ensure that AIBI is powered on and ready for setup.

  3. Connect Your Smartphone/Tablet to the Mobile Hotspot:

    • Go to your smartphone or tablet’s Wi-Fi settings.
    • Find and connect to the mobile hotspot network using the network name and password you noted earlier.

  4. Open the AIBI Pocket App:

    • Launch the AIBI Pocket App on your connected smartphone or tablet.

  5. Configure Wi-Fi Settings on AIBI:

    • In the AIBI Pocket App, navigate to the Wi-Fi settings or connection setup section via settings > network
    • Select the mobile hotspot network (SSID) from the list of available Wi-Fi networks.
    • Enter the password for the mobile hotspot network and confirm the connection.

  6. Verify the Connection:

    • Once AIBI is connected to the mobile hotspot, check the app to ensure that AIBI is online and functioning correctly.

  7. Troubleshooting (if needed):

    • Check Signal Strength: Make sure the mobile hotspot has a strong signal.
    • Restart Devices: If the connection fails, restart both the mobile Wi-Fi device and AIBI.
    • Verify Credentials: Double-check that you entered the correct network name and password.

By following these steps, AIBI should successfully connect to the internet via your mobile Wi-Fi device.
