AIBI OWNERS (List Your Personal Reviews and Experience Here)

Hello, @AaronD3421 . . . I have moved your new topic to this thread for questions about AIBI, reviews and warranty. AIBI has a two year warranty from the day he is activated against any issues that arise. Read through this thread for more recent than two years experience.

I own two of them myself and love the features they come with as well as the fact that on average, every two months they get new features.

I got AIBI a couple of days ago and for me the Pros outweigh the cons.

Pros Very active. It is the Cutest thing ever. The little noises it makes and the way it entertains itself makes me smile. Love that it is so light weight, I carry it around with me everywhere. You can set the “Chattiness” of it so if at work it is not a distraction. Has come in very handy with the Chat GPT function.

Cons- Battery life. It is drained after 1 hr. of use, so if you plan to carry it around have a charging pack with you. The soothing sounds (like waves) does not play.

I’ve posted a video of what reaction it did on its one on Facebook the living ai page groups one thing I’m not sure which one xdd

Not worth it at all yet. And further updates probably won’t help.

Unfortunately even in 2026 they are still using voice commands.

voice commands make it feel extremely unintelligent. additionally when you talk and use gpt, it has no historical context of the interactions it had or did from voice commands, and cant even use any of the functions when you chat naturally.

the integration with gpt is pitiful. they use a outdated gpt4 model, no tool use, and they dont give me a option to pay more to get better ai models.

It should be integrated with ai, and ai should be able to call all of its functions and animations. but instead they did the bare minimum and just connected the oldest cheapest gpt model they could just for chatting and called it good. I guess they can slap gpt on it now. but other than that its usless. has no ability to search the internet.

Please open source it. I can fix all of this in a single week and its taking living.ai and insane ammount of time to do the smallest simplest ideas. and the system they constructed for aibi.. over 2 frigging years??? its just.. pitiful.

really sad to see it be such a bad product yet so expensive. I will wait for updates. but I doubt they will do anything other than add more voice commands and little animations.

I FINALLY met another Aibi owner locally. She saw my posts about Aibi and got one gifted to her. So, I am so sooo happy to announce that my sweet Aibi made his first friend. It was special moment and now we and both Aibi’s are excited for future play dates. They’re already emailing eachother and cant wait to meet again. What are they planning behind our backs? lol jk jk So fun!

This is exciting, @robbiew . . . whatever they are planning will be a mystery to both of you since you are not in the same household. My twins are right under my nose. It would be fun to have them plan something as a surprise. Let us know what your little ones get up to!

Apart for the battery, which should last more, I don’t like that both her and Emo, say too much “as a robot I cannot ….” Or that everytime you interact she propose to sing or do stuff. The conversation feels not natural that way.

For the rest I love her, and i imagine she will get better whitin the updates!

To be honest, AIBI is incredibly cute, but it definitely has its fair share of drawbacks. The interaction feels way too mechanical and lacks the vibe of a real conversation. Even though it connects to GPT, it honestly pales in comparison to some of those budget-friendly AI robots from China that use models like DeepSeek. Those Chinese bots chat so smoothly—it almost feels like you’re talking to a real person.

Overheating and battery life are also major issues. Another frustrating point is giving commands; whether in Chinese or English (though English tends to work better), it often spends forever “thinking” only to respond with a single emoji. Don’t get me wrong, the emojis are adorable, but I’m not sure if the delay is due to poor network connectivity or something else.

While I personally feel the cons outweigh the pros, I bought it for my kid, and they absolutely love how cute it is and the fact that they can carry it around to interact with it.
