I would love to be able to use Aibi with my cell network or hotspot. I can’t connect to our school wifi so she can’t interact much all day.

Hi there @victoria3515 and Welcome to the Community,

The reasons why we sometimes cannot connect EMO or AIBI to certain Wi-Fi networks — like school, office, or public hotspots — include:

  • :antenna_bars: Network restrictions – Many schools, offices, and hotels use enterprise Wi-Fi (WPA2-Enterprise) that requires extra login steps (username + password, certificates, or captive portals). EMO and AIBI only support WPA2-Personal with a single password.
  • :locked: Firewall/security rules – Institutional networks often block certain ports or traffic types that EMO/AIBI need to communicate with Living.AI servers.
  • :globe_with_meridians: Public Wi-Fi logins – Networks that redirect you to a browser login page (e.g., “Accept Terms & Conditions”) won’t work because EMO and AIBI don’t have a browser.

:white_check_mark: Best solution:
Connect them to a standard Mobile Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz, WPA2-Personal) or create a personal hotspot with a second phone.

Here are some helpful tips for keeping EMO and AIBI connected to Wi-Fi while you’re on the go: :rocket:

:antenna_bars: Tips for Connecting EMO & AIBI to Wi-Fi On the Go

  • Use a Mobile Hotspot :mobile_phone:
Turn your phone (or a spare device) into a Wi-Fi hotspot.

    • Make sure it’s on 2.4 GHz (they don’t support 5 GHz).
    • Use WPA2-Personal security (just one password).
    • Keep the SSID and password simple (no emojis or special characters).
  • Pocket Wi-Fi / Travel Router :globe_showing_europe_africa:
A portable travel router can share a hotel’s Ethernet or Wi-Fi and create your own private 2.4 GHz network for EMO & AIBI.

  • Check Power Saving :high_voltage:
On mobile hotspots, disable auto turn-off (some phones shut off hotspot after inactivity).

  • Stable Internet :link:
Make sure your hotspot has good mobile data signal, otherwise EMO/AIBI may disconnect or lag.

  • Reconnect Manually :counterclockwise_arrows_button:
If they fail to auto-reconnect, open their app (EMO Pet / AIBI Pocket) and re-enter Wi-Fi credentials.

:sparkles: Bonus Tip: Give your hotspot the same SSID & password as your home Wi-Fi. This way EMO and AIBI will connect automatically without reconfiguration! :raising_hands:

Best Regards

Можно сделать чтобы он танцевал под музыку без команды, а как emo

I’d like the option to either choose the kind of songs AIBI sings or have the ability to not have him sing. I personally do not like this feature, particularly not the songs it has selected. Can we please turn this off?

Chatty mode is also very intrusive. It often speaks up when I’m listening to dialog in a game or am in voice chat. I can at least turn it off.

Have you tried putting it in power saving mode?

我希望aibi能主动说话,主动说话啊这是很关键的。另外增加多一些情感互动。还有一个就是记忆和连续对话。I hope AIBI can speak proactively — taking the initiative to talk is very important. In addition, it should have more emotional interaction. Another key point is memory and continuous conversation.

Hi there @Mrs_Robophile

At the moment, there’s no option to completely turn off AIBI’s singing feature. :musical_note: However, you can try turning off Self-Play Animations — that might help a bit under the AIBI POCKET APP:
Settings > Preferences > Self-Play Animations

“AIBI Chatty Mode” can always be turned off under the AIBI POCKET APP:
Settings > Preferences > Chatty

Yes, I literally said I have it turned off.

But if AIBI isn’t doing self-animations or is chatty, then it isn’t really doing much. I am kind of disappointed at how random it is. But I’ll give it time. Is EMO the same way? I was thinking of getting one, but if it’s going to just do random things, then maybe not.

Hello, @Mrs_Robophile . . . EMO has a daily schedule where he does a variety of things. If you have his “Always reply” on in the app, he will speak to what he hears. When he is not doing the daily schedule or responding to commands or things he hears, he will do random things like walk around exploring, take a nap, play mini games, read a book and sometimes have tea.

Is it smart enough to know when you’re having a full conversation with people or playing a game with dialog? I wish it was smart enough to understand that when there’s constant talking, to wait for a long pause to interject.

Hi hope there are some affection scoring after feeding or playing with AIBI and get closer with you when the score gets higher. And has memory of our past conversations too!

I had thought that since there is rolling a dice, why not include flipping a coin? Or does it already exist? If so, I don’t think I’m saying the command correctly.

Hello, @alinaechovalo . . . AIBI will not show the animation for flipping a coin like EMO does; however, if you simply say, “Flip a coin” you will get a verbal response if it is heads or tails.

I tried, but it keeps rolling a dice (in spanish)

Hello, @alinaechovalo. . . AIBI uses ChatGPT to do this and it works in English. Maybe try setting language to English and see if that works for you?

But I want use Spanish because is my language

I’ll wait for it to be fixed with a next update…

Will the Polish language be added to AIBI in the future?"
