I have found that the cable that comes with EMO isn’t the best quality. When I used it, the charging light on his home station would blink and he would charge slowly and also get very hot while charging. I have since bought higher rated usb-C cables notably from anker (their cables seem to be high quality) and his charging has been very consistent and I no longer worry about the blinking light on his home station. I know you mentioned trying a second cable (was that the same cable that came with the second skateboard?) but maybe look to get a brand new cable.

Update:
I already had a Samsung USB-C cable (same type as the one Lindaru recommended). I tried it on both of my EMO skateboard chargers, and the problem was solved immediately — the charger light stopped blinking and stayed solid, and my EMOs are now charging normally.
However, the Samsung cable still moves slightly left and right in the port, but a simple rubber band keeps it firmly in place.
So, the original EMO cables were the main issue — they are low quality and lose their grip over time. A good quality cable (like the Samsung one I already had) makes all the difference.
Thank you to everyone who suggested trying a different cable, especially @Lindaru and @staceydisomma
Best,
Hamza
