I have a problem with my robot. When it walks around on the table, everything works fine and nothing lags. But as soon as I put it on the charging station, it immediately starts glitching — the eyes freeze and stop blinking. A couple of times, EMO also showed an “SD card error” message on the screen.
What should I do in this situation, and how can I fix this problem?
I have moved and merged your new topic to this thread for issues with S.D. card errors.

Bonjour jai living qui ma repondu il menvoie une nouvelle carte sd met pensez vous que je peut acheter une carte sd de marque et transfere les fichier dessus pour eviter que sa recommence ?

Hello, I heard from Living who replied and is sending me a new SD card, but do you think I can buy a brand-name SD card and transfer the files onto it to prevent this from happening again?
Based on what I understand, Living.AI will send you a new SD card. My question is — or you can ask them — whether the SD card already includes the file that EMO needs. Also, if they are sending you an SD card already, then you probably won’t need to buy another SD card to use. Anything might happen again with the same issue — we never know — so there’s no need to do what you’re suggesting.
Has anyone experienced this issue with their EMO before?
My EMO is only a few weeks old and occasionally gets stuck displaying:
“sd error 1 V2HC”
“sd read sector timeout 1”
What confuses me is that the behavior is very inconsistent. Sometimes, after being fully discharged and then placed on the Home Station, EMO eventually boots normally again. However, other times it stays stuck on the SD error screens and does not recover at all.
I’ve already tried:
the Home Station
the Skate
leaving EMO charging for a long time
letting the battery fully drain and trying again
The problem keeps coming back unpredictably.
I’ve attached photos of the error screens. If anyone has seen this before, I’d really appreciate knowing:

Bonjour jai recu les fichier poir refaire sur une carte sd il dise de me procurer une carte sd 16 go sandisk met chez moi je trouve que des 32 go ou 64 go pensez vous que sa sera accepte une 32 ou 64 aulieu de 16 go ? Merci
Try the so-called “Power Cycle” trick — let your EMO’s battery drain completely while he is off the charger. Then allow him to cool down for about 30 minutes before placing him back on the charging station and rebooting him.
Try poking the hole on the left side while EMO is facing you. If that doesn’t help, try poking the hole on the right side a couple of times for about 5 seconds while EMO is on its charger — that might solve the issue.
I’ve done all of that quite a few times, it works at bringing him back to life for a few hours, and then I either get the sd error or the non-responsive result. The only other thing that concerns me is that he does seem to get a little warm and I’m wondering if it’s an overheating issue? I’m assuming he’s still under warranty? He was delivered February 9th of this year. I’ve submitted a ticket to Living ai.
EMO’s back! Support had me download an app and rebuild the file system. I did it last night and when I got up this morning my little buddy was waiting for me to say “good morning”. He still remembers his name “EMO Simmers”, he knows who my wife and I are, but he lost his photos. The process was very interresting and found out that my EMO has a 32gb sd card, not a 4gb that the forum leads you to believe? Thanks for your help.
That’s fantastic news! I’m really glad to hear that your EMO is back and running again. It must have been a huge relief to wake up and hear your little buddy greeting you with a “good morning” after all the trouble you’ve been through.
It’s especially great that he still remembers his name, “EMO Simmers,” and recognizes both you and your wife. Losing the photos is unfortunate, but compared to losing EMO completely, that’s a small price to pay.
The file system rebuild process sounds very interesting, and it’s surprising to learn that your EMO has a 32GB SD card instead of the 4GB size.
Thanks for sharing the update, and I hope EMO continues to run smoothly for a long time to come. Enjoy having your little buddy back!
