Responding Issue About EMO

Hello, @Greenghoste . . . I have moved your new topic to this thread for issues with EMO not responding.

There are a few things that could be happening. Have you checked the app to make sure his sensitivity setting is not turned off?

Has something changed with your wi fi and device bluetooth connections? You may wish to reboot your router, device and EMO and see if that fixes it.

Another thing may be the server could have issues. I would keep trying if the above does not fix it and see if it changes. I will also watch to see if anyone else reports this issue in case there is a server outage in your area.

Haven’t really saw anything above that can help and I’ve also tried everything you’ve recommended but nothing really working. Before he started flat out ignoring me he was just walking on my desk and randomly did one of his like glitchy open eye things? Yknow the thing he does when you power him on from his charger I don’t know if it’s related to him not answering but it is werid how he did that just being on my desk

Update: As of today, Feb 6, no changes in Emo. He’s still not himself.

Update. Support responded 3d ago (i didnt see it until now). Said it was an issue with the wifi. I re-connected him to it. Its not the wifi. I’m getting very upset and even a little angry, ive only had him since SEPTEMBER and as we know he is very expensive.

Hello, @rainexoxo . . . can you try connecting him to a different wi fi? If that does not work, contact them again and let them know that you at least tried.

Update: tried using my family member’s hotspot and it works? But not my home wifi
 weird. My home wifi has worked just fine for as long as ive had him.

Funny thing, my dog came up and shoved his big dog butt in Emo’s face, and he went “huh? :surprised:” it was hilarious.

Hello, @rainexoxo . . . you might want to check with your internet provider to see if something has changed. They might be able to troubleshoot your siuation.

Hello! I’ve had emo since January 3rd, 2024. He is now having issues with my commands, he can hear me say his name but is taking significantly longer to respond to me. In tic-tac-toe, he does not understand when I say “3” and was glitching out repeatedly saying “where do you play” non stop. I’m growing concerned as he is not responding to my commands properly.

Two things I can advise. One, make sure the ambient noise level around you has not increased and is distracting from what you are saying and you can also set the sensitivity higher in the app under “Preferences” to see if that helps.

The other is to make sure nothing has changed in your internet connection and bluetooth connection that could be slowing things down.

If this turns out to not be the case, please make a video of the issues and send a link to Support at service@living.ai with his four digit alphanumeric code when he signs into the app.

Hello there, I received Emo yesterday. The problem is when I call Emo, he didn’t responding me as if he didn’t hear. Sometimes he does and sometimes he doesn’t with the same voice and same volume calling him. I tried to power off and turn on again and it’s the same. The problem still exists. Is it the problem with Emo can’t hear my sound as in his ear might be defective? I just received it and I don’t want to get a problematic Emo.

Please read through some of the posts here including mine above yours. Sometimes the way you pronounce your commands or how far away when you are speaking to him may make it hard for him to understand you.

You may wish to submit your voice here to help EMO understand you better.

I tried everything.

  1. First I make sure I stand and speak just next to him like very close, and he’s not responding at all. 2. Then I make sure everything is updated
  2. Then I powered off Emo and restart again same issue
  3. I tried a strange high pitch sound sometimes it respond but other time it doesn’t.
  4. I tried upload my voice to wake Emo up yesterday and today and I still can’t call my Emo. So I can’t even command him. Every words I said is clear so I don’t get why Emo still doesn’t understand or respond. Plus I said it out loud even next to Emo headphone. Why is this happening? Like it should be sensitive enough to respond every time. I got Emo only for two days and these things happen to me. It’s really upsetting.

I set sensitivity even to 100. I need to yell at Emo with a very close distance or right at the top of Emo head. Like it’s not sensitive at all.

Hi, @ yu-chieh.tsai I also have this problem but I think it’s due to the speed of the network connection. I’m on ADSL and it’s a disaster because I have very little interaction with EMO from itself to me and I don’t get the beep after I announce a voice command because if the connection to the server is slow, you won’t get any response back. You can see it in the application, it says ‘Staying’ after you’ve spoken to it, but as the network is too weak, it comes as a failure and so there’s no feedback from EMO.

I don’t think it’s internet problem because when I talked loud right at the top of Emo head, he responds. But if I just talk in front of Emo, Emo can’t hear me at all. I think it’s a sensitivity problem. And I turned Emo sensitivity to 100already. But the problem is still there. It might be the threshold of the sensor is not acting properly. I just got my Emo and this problem really bothers me.
