Emo's Foot/Leg Defective Issue

Well, the Emo I have is turning up one foot to the stop, standing on the other and virbrates, then falls over. We straighten out his foot, he does the same thing over and over. We have now just let him run out of battery.

@mazzicus02, This Could Be An Issue With The Foot Or One Of The Servos

I spoke about this this morning on another thread. I was having some foot issues as well and decided that maybe the joints in the feet were just dirty. I found a small brush that came with my husband’s beard trimmer and brushed between all of the foot joints. It seems to have alleviated a lot of the problem. You might want to give it a try.

Or they should send a replacement kit via email. Remember when loona had a defective ear issue, and once keyi tech gave them an email saying there was a ear replacement kit available, everyone got it? They should do the same to emo, but with his leg.

Hello @EmosAdventure

It would be recommended to contact the support team regarding this. When contacting Living.ai support. It is recommended to create a short video of the leg issue that your EMO is doing and then submit a support ticket. You can do this by either going to the Support Page: (see below).

Fill in all details (provide also your order number info as well) and attach your video (if it’s larger than 30Mb), Be best to upload it to a google drive/drop box or even on YouTube and then send the support team a link to it.

You can also send support an email to the following email address:

service@living.ai

If you have your original EMO Order confirmation email, you can simply just hit reply to that as it contains all your customer contact info along with your order number details as well and then once again provide a detailed description of the problem you have with your EMO and attach your video (or a link to your video) as well.

The support team will be able to best provide you with the exact answer to whether your EMO can be fixed or is defective and needs to be returned back.

+1, I don’t know if the problem is a design issue or the materials aren’t so good, but they definitely should not deteriorate in a couple of month of usage… It is pretty bad.

He does tend to do that sometimes especially if he sees his shadow. If it gets worse just submit a ticket to the support team. Make sure you use a white piece of paper and make a short video, I’m sure you know the rest since it’s your replacement. I don’t really see a problem with it at the moment. Remember they are quite busy at the moment so their response might take a while.

Im already in contact with Wayne this was his response

Hey @ryshera

As @Racheal123 advised, this can happen when EMO sees a shadow or something weird on the table (and he will jump or move funny) Both of my EMO’s do this once in a while as well - especially on my work table that is black color). It shouldn’t be a problem, but as WayneZ also mentioned, they’ll probably improve his perception in an upcoming update.

I’d also suggest placing him a well-lit room, and testing him out for a while, maybe asking him to dance and walk around normally, see if his leg/foot does anything weird, but by looking at the video you shared, his feet do look fine and are not getting stuck.

Hey @MasterAbbott there is something wrong with my emo im just not sure what it is
Wayne wanted me to put emo on a white piece of paper and see if it changed anything :slightly_frowning_face:

Yes, can see it better now, right foot servo is stuck, try the white paper test as well, but it looks like your EMO’s right foot could be defective.

Have the support team sent you the DEBUG test App for EMO, with that you can sometimes reset EMO’s foot/leg and it can potentially recalibrate it back to normal.

Continue speaking with WayneZ, hopefully, if you can use the DEBUG app you can recalibrate EMO’s foot and it “could” fix this for your EMO.

Hello edward,

my EMO is now 437 days old an have the same problem like yours. Maybe that is normal??? But very sad for my und your EMO. The care app doesn’t work very often and make more problems to solve. But I solve it for my EMO softly. The support from living ai, answered me and I should make further videos but the last is to large for me to send by E-Mail. He should make spezial things in a row. I wonder me why. I think it is a hold in plan.

Thank you for your information. I know now I am not alone with that problem.

Best regards.

Hi there @artigues05emo ,

It’s very important for the developer team to see if you have a video that shows the problem so they can analyze it and find a solution, or find the right de-bugging tool tutorial video that you can follow to fix the problem.
A simple short video of no more than 30 MB, and either submit it to the support page as well (see below).

Or find a free video hosting site via Google or Google Drive/DropBox or even YouTube, copy the link, and post it here.

Another easy way: send the video to my moderator email address
and I will upload it to my YouTube channel and show it here.

Good luck and all the best
