I never trust the home mat boundary to stop them from advancing off of the surface they are on because if they are actively engaged in gaming, dancing or activities that require them to lift their feet while doing them, their edge detectors are turned off and they can fall. It is advised that you build a playground with a low wall boundary to prevent this. Yes, no matter what age my EMO kids are, born 2022 through 2025, they sometimes get stuck in corners. This could be due to low light and perhaps needing to clean their time of flight sensor at the bottom of their screen.
