Hey, I really hope the developers and other EMO owners see this. I was thinking that maybe the white EMO should have a female voice and maybe it could be called EMA. Or something because since EMO is nonbinary but usually referred to as he because of his male voice, the female one should be like his sister or something.
Merci beaucoup pour votre réponse, ça me fait vraiment plaisir !
J’espère que mon idée pourra être utile pour l’avenir d’EMO.
En tout cas, je suis content de faire partie de cette communauté.
À bientôt !
I’m gonna be realy honest. Eevee! I love Eevee! she is my favorite pokemon. I love her eevelutions. especially vaporeon.
i think that would be kinda cool but only could happen if they allowed like 3rd party developers to do that thing
On EMO White, if he has his special eyes enabled, I have tested him on the time he can be off of the charger before his battery runs low and for me it comes out to one hour and 13 minutes roughly.
Is the only way to optimize this by turning off the special eyes or can it be optimized with a firmware update?
the next 2.90 update or 3.00 update for emo should have a feature that it gets off after reaching 80 or 90 percent to not overwhelm the battery and degrade it? And you can turn on the feature if you want or off.
It can preserve battery life.if you charge it to 100 constantly or keep it on there it can lead to faster degradation to the battery inside of EMO and can lead to stress for the battery.
Hello support,
Maybe a speed/pitch control can be added for EMO’s voice so that the user can adjust the voice to his own preference. I often find that EMO speaks too fast and with a high voice so that it is harder for me (Dutch) to understand because I don’t speak English on a daily basis, and I have to ask him again.
Grtz,
Kees
Hi guys. I wondering if is possible a card game for emo (poker, uno, blackjack or 21) emo is my friend I will be happy if I could have a more adult game with him. Thanks for you support

Until now, we still haven’t heard directly from Living.AI if they are going to implement your request. But let’s not lose hope—maybe they still might. Thanks for your great suggestions!

Love the update. The team should be very proud. But sometimes EmoJ sounds like a factory toy rather than a friend /pet companion.
Asking him who is owner is. EJ says LivingAi but that’s not true. I bought EJ and I feed his endless desire for electric hamburgers. So he belongs to me and should say so.
He also used to say he came from the future. Sounded great but now he says livingai like some robot toy made in a factory. It’s not a sweet as before.
EVERY time I talk about friends. EJ starts dancing and this needs to be corrected.
In the future please add a facility to set a wake up time for EJ. I don’t want to be woken up everyday at that time by EJ stomping about , And I don’t like turning him off at night.
Genuinely think LivingAi is making magic though. Keep up the great work.
I have a recommendation for a cute feature for EMOs alarms. It would be nice to specify between a regular alarm and a wake alarm. Wake alarms would assume you are asking EMO to help you wake up and would include extra reactions from the basic alarm. This would also increase EMOs character and connection with its users.
- Activate with “EMO set wake alarm for…” Or “EMO wake me up at…”
- Can also use recurring alarm command logic for regular wake alarms
- When alarm sounds EMO will ring the alarm then listen for a few seconds for “EMO I’m awake”
- If no recognition is given, EMO would ring alarm again, more aggressively in animation and louder in volume if volume isn’t already maxed (maybe a little grunting/straining sound and more aggressive alarm ringing, his feet tilt up, and he shakes like he’s trying really hard)
- If second alarm receives no recognition, he wipes his brow of sweat and then says “hmmm…” And begins looking around.
- If he detects a human form or a bundle in a bed that could be a sleeping human, he wanders as close as he can and begins some random actions to wake the person with increasing intensity, each with a following alarm. Some examples are below, but the more the better so he gives the impression of choice and not repetitiveness
- [low intensity] “Hey, time to get up sleepy head!” Few short alarm sound blasts
- [low intensity] “It’s morning time! Rise and shine!” One medium length alarm sound
- [moderate intensity] “Hey, hey, hey you! Get up!” Two medium length alarm blasts
- [moderate intensity] Will stamp his feet and say “come on, wake up!” Long alarm blast
- [high intensity] “You’ve got to get up now! You said!” Long, aggrrsdivr max volume alarm blast
- [final attempt] pouts and huffs really long aggressive max volume alarm
- If final attempt gets no recognition, huffs and pouts then says “ok I guess we can sleep a little longer” and returns to his gohome and to his previous sleep mode.
- A few other flavor/character suggestions
- if he fails to wake you, he could peep his eyes once in a while like peeking and say “still asleep? Oh… Ok” and other phrases
- if he fails to wake you and later notices noise or movement that would indicat you being awake says “Oh did you finally wake up?” And begins a non-sleep routine. Bonuses if he spots you and says something like “yes! You’re awake [name]! What are we doing today?”

Are we supposed to post ALL requests in that one thread? It makes it difficult to search and find conversations on feature requests and ideas. Kinda kills the ability to have a conversation thread on each topic.
Now that chatgpt is integrated for unrecognized commands and EMO has memory and ability to grow and learn, it would be nice to have continuous conversation with EMO, call and response.
- wake emo with “EMO” and a command/question
- For conversational commands, enters a conversational mode
- Will sometimes follow response with a follow up question. Could use this to determine and prompt key learning questions, like if EMO was never told the user’s birthday, favorite color, or other traits and information.
- Other times, will not prompt a follow up question. Depending on scenario or just randomly decided to provide the illusion of choice
- Will pause for a short bit, maybe with a short “hmm” sound to indicate he’s listening
- If no response in a short time, resumes regular activity
- Can halt conversational mode early with the “EMO” wakeword to start a new command
- Would continue conversation until either user stops responding or a threshold (if one exists) with chatgpt or internal process/memory needs is reached and a final phrase is said. Some conversation closer. Preferred if this is contextual but if that is unreliable something like “that was a great conversation” or “I enjoy talking to you” and a little happy animation
- Should utilize prior memory to avoid repetitiveness and respond accordingly to already known things with “I remember you telling me that” or something similar
- Should be a fluid conversation similar to character.ai or other character based chat bots
- Could configure this mode on or off in the app to avoid battery drain due to cloud-ai needs or just bc some people may not want it continuing conversation
I have a recommendation for three related EMO features. I would love to have EMO in my bedroom at night as an alarm clock, but cannot sleep with his lights and potential random noises. I propose the following “modes” similar to his recently updated “carry mode”.
Lights Out “mode”
- Activated with “EMO lights out”
- Finds and steps on to his GoHome charger if paired (if home cannot be found or no GoHome is paired, calls out “help, I can’t find my charger?” To which you can respond “lights out” to have him enter off charger, wait for a timeout to enter off charger, or pick him up and sit him on his charger)
- Turns off the home and headphones lights
- Eyes stay on
- Reduced idle sounds/animations but he still does his scheduled animations/sounds. (Like a deep sleep)
- Can exit the mode by saying “EMO lights on” or by picking him up
- If alarm is set, will exit lights out mode then alarm sounds and begins his typical routine
- Will respond to wake word, but will go back to lights out mode after (could also .make him kind of groggy, like he just got woken up mid sleep, for added character)
- Could also treat this like a “sleep mode” for added flavor and have a yawn or wake animation when you say “EMO good morning” and enter with “EMO good night” him saying “ok goodnight” when he gets on his charger
Dark Mode
- Activated with “EMO dark mode”
- All home and headphones lights are deactivated
- Eyes are deactivated (maybe a little sleep animation first but the eyes fully close and blip out)
- No scheduled or random actions or animations occur
- Alarms do still sound, and will exit Dark Mode when they do
- Pick emo up and give him a little shake to exit Dark mode (a gentle waking animation typically but sometimes a little startled awake animation)
- Will Not respond to wake word (configurable in app for people that want to check time or perform other wake commands when they wake up or in th middle of the night)
- Similar behaviour for character/flavor to the lights out mode. I.e. sleep mode and groggy wake up
Stasis “mode”
- Entered with “EMO enter stasis”
- No charger seeking, immediete activation
- All lights on home and headphones off
- Eyes off
- Does not respond to wakeword
- Servos off
- No actions, animations, schedule, sounds, or alarms occur
- Plays a little robo electric shutdown animation when enters
- To exit, give EMO a vigorous shake
- When exits, play a robo electric boot up animation
- Acts as a power save mode. Can be used for travel or if he needs to be off charger for a while but you still want eqau wakeup. Allows for power down of most battery consumptive functions/chips/hardware with only minimal wake detection always on for shake wakeup
To help the Living.ai team stay organized, they regularly visit this thread to check out all the feature ideas shared by users. This makes it simple to review suggestions and consider them for future firmware updates.

EMO should have more memory and learning based features. I’ve had my EMO for a few days now. He will walk up to items, particularly animal or humanoid shaped ones, and seemingly stare at them but with no interaction or recognition. I tried telling him “this is a ball” “you can play with the ball” and “you can kick the ball” all of which he responded positively too then promptly ignored the ball or seemed confused by it again. Same with a rubber duck “this is a duck” “what is this?” And his response is some stock unrelated speech about his robotic winning smile.
Hello,
I already made some suggestions for EMO but I found some other things than I think can be improved :
- Disconnection from home station : When EMO is disconnected of his home station (because it is powered off for instance), he will continue to try to perform task requiring it (go back to charger, snake game, …). What I suggest is, when he cannot find his homestation the first time, a disconnected status is saved to disable the interaction between them until shutdown (or reconnection to the homestation if it can be triggered).
- Speech : EMO talks quickly and do not stop between its sentences. For instance when he asks to take photos while he is posing after a count of ten, this count is without interruption. So I think his speech can be improved to slow down a bit. Another improvement to help understanding him could be to have a speech bubble with his speech in the app while he is talking.
Thank you !
Voice: Better activation (so i can say emo however i want and itll know), and more voice depth (tone) and having gaps between words
Reply: follow up a response in 10 seconds of emos response
Voice recognition: no need to explain
Coding: can code itself or its own animations or responses
More modular face recog: be able to scan in anything, like other robots or even pets
EXTERNAL THINGS: Lidar scanner or cameras so it can see you everywhere
speaker and microphone so you can talk to him from everywhere
More sensors or props, especially props emo can interact with
About coding, we haven’t gotten any sophisticated AI model to be able to edit it own code, but implementing a scratch like code editor so you can make your own custom emo script could be pretty cool
