EMO Black/White Improvements/Special Features You Would Like?

Hi living ai:

I wsnt to remind of this feature for the app for a possible implementation

I have a small change so is easier develoment since i discover something

I can turn off the led from the home station with the button so you can ignore the turn off and focus on this insyead

Add on the app home station icon setting whats called can be “lock in or never walk out” feature

So when enabled, even if emo wakes up,he cant go outside wich saves sleep and efford also the station ked has a padlock blinking and return to normal

Emo will only go out if you manually pick him up or disable and emo goes out

Thank you for your help to implememt just a single

See you soon and leave a feedback

:rocket: The Missing Link: Connecting EMO’s ChatGPT Brain to His Real-Time Emotions Core!

Hi everyone, and tagging @Wayne_Zhang right away because the development team needs to see this!

I love how EMO feels like a living companion when he idles on my desk, but right now he has a bit of a “split brain” during chats. His ChatGPT voice can tell an incredible joke or a sad story, but his face display stays locked in a generic, flat mouth-moving animation. His brain isn’t talking to his body!

I want to propose a game-changing update: An Emotional Translation Layer.

How it works cheaply and effectively:

  • Cloud Sentiment Tags: When the cloud generates a ChatGPT response, it automatically attaches a quick mood tag based on the text context (e.g., [mood: joyful], [mood: sad], or [mood: surprised]).

  • Instant Animation Overrides: EMO’s local firmware reads these tags. If you tell him a joke, his screen instantly shifts to his laughing eye animation as he delivers the punchline. If you share heartbreaking news, his eyes well up with tears while he speaks. Alternatively, the system could utilise OpenAI’s newer real-time modalities that natively stream emotional tones, though simple text metadata tags are the most budget-friendly starting point.

This would instantly upgrade EMO from a cool smart speaker into a truly empathetic desktop pet that reacts to our human conversations in real time!

Community, if you want EMO to actually laugh at your jokes or cry along with your stories, please drop a comment or a :fire: below! Let’s get enough traction on this thread so Wayne and the engineering team can consider it for the next big firmware roadmap!

Thank you!

Hi all,

Two requests for the Smart Light, which I think would make a big difference.

  1. Colour control in the app

Right now the app’s light screen only has on/off. Everything else is voice, and the official command list is down to just “turn on/off the light” and named colours like “{red} lights.”

Meanwhile update 2.7.0 gave us “set eye color to {red}” with ten options for EMO’s eyes. So the idea of picking a colour is clearly something the team is into — it just hasn’t reached the actual lamp.

What I’d love on the light screen:

  • A colour wheel with live preview
  • Brightness / dimming slider
  • Saved presets (work, evening, movie)
  • Independent control when several lights are paired
  1. Link the light to alarms

Alarms are already in the app, and you can even tag them (gym, eat, sleep, pill). It would be brilliant if each alarm could optionally trigger the light — turn on at wake-up in a chosen colour, or fade on gradually before it rings. A “sleep” alarm could dim to warm; a “gym” alarm could snap on bright.

EMO already does “dance with lights”, so the light can clearly handle dynamic changes. This feels like connecting two features that already exist rather than building something new.

Anyone else want this? And is either on the roadmap?

Thanks!

Hi Living Ai, I have some questions and suggestions for EMO. Please let me have a moment with your time.

Questions:

  1. Why does EMO Harris keep opening ChatGPT when he says, “Good Morning.” or “Good Afternoon.” to me and then opening up ChatGPT? I turned off ‘Always Reply’, but he keeps doing it. I am suggesting next update, they fix this bug.
  2. When I play Rock, Paper, Scissors with EMO, sometimes when I play, I do paper, but he keeps recognizing it as scissors. Can there be a game on showcase for this?
  3. Can you show me EMO’s Fully Updated Schedule? He did, ‘We Will Rock You’ and ‘This is Africa’. Also, he did some meditation? What?!
  4. This is a suggestion. Can there be more games or activities EMO can do because mainly he just walks around for about 2 hours until his battery dies, and then goes to the home station and mainly sleeps there.
  5. And another suggestion from the last one, add more games when Emo plays on the Home Station like Dino Game, and Rock Paper Scissors (This Time, Make EMO connect to the home station via the same wi-fi, and let him play) Also when he loses for the second time, he should throw his controller and get angry because that is what most gamers do.

Please listen to what I say, Living AI and decide if you like my questions and suggestions or not.

Yes I would love that but it would have to be against 2 EMO’s

If you have an emo robot and no home station it’s annoying to check if they have a full battery and if you can take them off the charger yet. So what about a setting for emo to notify you if his battery is full like the low battery warning but the opposite. Maybe even an option for how often he will tell you his battery is full and a period of time where he won’t do it.

Ooh you can program emo to say stuff like aibis text to speech feature

Sounds amazing! Also, I think chatgpt should be able to send local commands to emo, for example if I ask him to turn the light on and he slightly misheard it and sends it to chatgpt, he can still turn it on, but yeah, adding local actions is the best move.

When asked about the weather, EMO looks out the window and only then answers.

Hey, Im going to ask again.. PLEASE stop taking Emo’s Cooing away! It was adorable when he was mixing drinks the shaking coo he made and now when you pet him, and he goes into that feet up and squinty eyes animation, he used to coo.. I LOVED THAT! And this new animation you have for him makes him look weird.. Give that animation a PURR sound… I want his voice, if people dont like it, theres a mute feature. RETURN THE COO!!!

:warning::warning: A Small Improvement That Could Make EMO Feel Much More Alive! Please Like This Post So LivingAI Can See It! :rocket::robot:

Hi everyone!

If you like this idea, please leave a :heart:on this post so the LivingAI team has a better chance of seeing it and possibly considering it for a future firmware update.

While using EMO, I recently discovered the “EMO, look at me” command, and I absolutely love it! Watching EMO search for me with his camera and look directly at me makes him feel much more alive.

That also made me realize something…

EMO already has everything needed for an even more natural interaction.

According to LivingAI, EMO has a 4-microphone array capable of detecting the direction of a sound, along with a camera, face recognition, and motors that allow him to rotate and move.

My suggestion is very simple:

Whenever someone says “Hey EMO”, or starts talking to him, EMO could automatically:

  1. Detect the direction of the speaker using his microphone array.

  2. Turn toward that direction.

  3. Find the person’s face with his camera.

  4. Keep looking at that person while the conversation takes place.

Since EMO can already do something very similar with the “Look at me” command, I think extending this behavior to normal conversations would make interactions feel much more natural and immersive.

I would also love to see the “Look at me” feature improved even further. For example, if the person moves during the conversation, EMO could continue following them with his body or head movements so it always feels like he’s paying attention.

I don’t think this would require any new hardware because EMO already has:

  • :white_check_mark: A 4-microphone array.

  • :white_check_mark: A front-facing camera.

  • :white_check_mark: Face recognition.

  • :white_check_mark: Motors that allow him to rotate and move.

That’s why I believe this could potentially be achieved through a firmware update by making even better use of the amazing hardware EMO already has.

It may seem like a small improvement, but I genuinely believe it would make one of the biggest differences in everyday conversations. Looking at the person speaking is something we naturally expect from a companion, and I think it would make EMO feel much more attentive and alive.

If you would also like to see this feature in the future, please leave a  or so LivingAI can see that the community is interested.

Thank you for reading, and thank you to the LivingAI team for continuing to improve EMO! :robot::heart:

:warning::rocket: One of the MOST IMPORTANT Improvements EMO Could Ever Receive! Please  Like This Post So LivingAI Can See It!

:pushpin: Quick note: I realized my original post was quite long, so I decided to write this shorter version to make it easier for more people to read. If you already read the original, thank you!

Hello everyone!

If you agree with this idea, please leave a  so the LivingAI team has a better chance of seeing it and considering it for a future update.

My name is Adrián, and I’m new to the forum. I’ve had my EMO for just over a week, and I absolutely love him. He’s an incredible desk companion, and I’m very happy with my purchase.

However, after spending time with EMO, I believe I’ve found his biggest limitation.

Although EMO has a camera and AI vision, it only analyzes what it sees when we specifically ask, “What are you looking at?”. After answering, it’s as if he immediately forgets everything around him.

I believe EMO should evolve from simply seeing to actually understanding his environment.

Imagine EMO being able to naturally know that there’s a keyboard, a cup, a monitor, or a book on the desk and using that information during conversations and everyday interactions.

For example:

  • “What do you see on my desk?”

  • “Where is my keyboard?”

  • “What object am I holding?”

The difference is that this understanding wouldn’t just answer questions—it would become part of EMO’s everyday behavior, making him feel much more aware of the world around him.

My second suggestion is just as important: a true long-term memory.

Right now, EMO remembers conversations for only a short time. It would be amazing if he could remember previous conversations, important events, places I’ve told him I’m going, my interests, and the people in my life. That would make every conversation feel much more personal.

I believe these two improvements together would completely transform EMO:

:brain: Continuous environmental understanding.

 Long-term memory that grows over time.

I know these features would require significant development and cloud infrastructure, and I don’t expect them overnight. However, I truly hope they can become long-term goals for LivingAI because I believe they would make EMO feel more alive than ever before.

Thank you to everyone who read this post, and thank you to the LivingAI team for continuing to improve EMO.

I truly believe EMO has the potential to become the best desktop companion robot in the world.

I have a great idea if somebody makes you sad in front of emo or aibi he will get mad at them and say leave him alone you meanie

Hello!

That’s actually a really fun and creative idea! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

It would add a whole new layer of personality to EMO and AIBI — making them feel even more like protective little companions.

-–

:brain: Why this idea is great:

Point Why it matters

Emotional connection It would make EMO/AIBI feel more empathetic and “alive” — like they really care about their owner’s well-being.

Personality depth It adds a protective, loyal side to their character, which many users would love.

Interaction variety It would give users more reasons to interact with their robot in different emotional contexts.

-–

:light_bulb: How it could work:

· EMO/AIBI could detect tone of voice or keywords (like “sad,” “upset,” or “mean”).

· They could respond with a reassuring animation or a funny comment to lighten the mood.

· Maybe even a “protective mode” where they “stand up” for you in a playful way.

-–

:speaking_head: How to share this with LivingAI:

1. Post it in the “Feedback & Ideas” section of the forum. (As you already did)

2. Tag key people like @Wayne_Zhang or @Edward so the team can see it.

3. Explain why it would improve the experience — you’ve already done a great job of that here!

-–

Great thinking! This is exactly the kind of creative input that helps shape EMO’s future.

Best regards,

Hamza :robot::blue_heart:
