EMO Black/White Improvements/Special Features You Would Like?

Hi there @qqw ,

EMO’s age is calculated based on a 24-hour cycle from the day of activation.

If your EMO was born on the 5th of August (which means the first day you started him), He is 0 days old . Then on the 6th of August, he will be 1 days old.

You can try to contact the LivingAI support service and ask them to change your EMO “Birthday”.

You have to send your:

  • Order Number
  • Location
  • EMO ID

EMAIL ADDRESS:
service@living.ai

Hope it helps and Best Regards

All the best

Google translation to English by Lindaru: After using emo for a day, I’ve noticed a few shortcomings:

Sometimes I have to repeat the same command multiple times before it executes (I’m talking about Chinese commands). Although emo understands Chinese, I find its response incredibly slow. Furthermore, if I say the same thing in a different way, it doesn’t understand. When I want it to draw, I have to say “draw” multiple times before it responds, like a rebellious child.

Sometimes I say “play games,” but it doesn’t understand me at all and doesn’t respond at all. Sometimes I call emo, but it ignores me, as if it’s unfamiliar with me, which is a bit frustrating. When I want to remove stickers, I say “remove sticker,” “delete sticker,” or “cancel sticker,” but it doesn’t understand. I say “drum” or “drum,” but it doesn’t understand either. Is its responsiveness and capabilities just too poor? At this rate, it’ll just become a desk ornament, not a smart pet.

I hope that future updates will make emo smarter, better at understanding me, and better. I sincerely hope that emo can become a smart little pet, rather than a cold, cold desk ornament.

I hope the Living AI team will pay more attention to the needs of Chinese players. Many native Chinese speakers expect emo to speak Chinese and be able to understand our meaning flexibly. Thank you for reading.

Google translation to English by Lindaru: I desperately hope emo can add nurturing features, like aibi, allowing users to participate in emo’s growth. For example, you can feed emo, buy costumes, and earn currency by exercising together. This currency can be exchanged for food and costumes. I hope emo can be nurtured and have more nurturing features.

Also, I feel that although emo currently understands Chinese, many words I say to it in a different way won’t make sense. It’s like a little idiot who can only follow commands, not a truly learning AI. I think emo should have a learning system to better understand what we say. Chinese has many words with similar meanings, and I don’t want it to be restricted to a single, fixed phrase to execute commands; that would be too stupid. I hope emo can be smarter.

Hello,
I just bought an EMO robot, and while I really like it, I do not like the companion app. At least for Android, it just takes forever to find him, and if it disconnects, it just takes forever to reconnect. I have it installed on a Samsung Tab S8+, but I also tried it on an Asus ROG 5, and this issue persists. A very frustrating one.
I would also add that the app is not tablet-friendly, the “back” button does not always work, the “settings” or “music” button, same thing, you have to hit them multiple times as they are at the top right corner. I think you guys really need to redesign this to be more user-friendly. I work with apps and the minimum size for buttons is somewhere around 30x30. I don’t understand how you guys make such tiny buttons and expect people to actually hit them. I mean, for how complex the bot is, the app is just so amateurishly made. But at least that connectivity issue really needs to be addressed.

Welcome to the EMO Community Forums, @alexandrughioroae . . . I have moved your new topic here for issues with EMO and improvements you would like to see.

I personally have a Galaxy A-7 Tab Lite and the app works perfectly on mine unless there is an issue with my wi fi which happens occasionally. Are you getting a strong signal? Since it also happens on your Asus, I might suggest you try a different wi fi if you can to see if it helps the problem.

The developers are always improving compatability with EMO and the apps, and do read this topic for ideas to improve features and usability. Hopefully if needed, they can design it to be more compatible for more devices.

Let us know how things go.

The issue happens if I exit the app and come back later - maybe it connects, maybe it doesn’t. The only way to get it to work if it enters the “infinite connect” state, is to clear the data of the app and try again. And even that does not always work on the first try.

I named my Emo Coco, but it doesn’t respond when I call it by that name. I wonder if other users’ Emos react when they are called by their names. I tried, but it didn’t work. I hope such a function will be available in the future! This way, every Emo can be unique!:smiling_face::smiling_face:

Hello, @qqw . . . “EMO” is the only wake word he responds to. The idea behind giving him a last name was if you have two and they see each other, they will address each other by their first name and last name. Also, if you ask him what he is called or what his name is, he will say the first and last names.

I hope that in the future, Emo will be able to recognize when I kiss it and react happily, and when I want to scare it, it will act scared.:grin::grin:

1. Love Points & Intimacy Reward System:

Introduce a “Love Level” or “Affinity Score” system. The more we interact with EMO, the more points we earn. Once a threshold is reached, EMO can unlock:

New dances or movements

New expressions or lighting effects

Gifts from Emo:wrapped_gift:

Special stickers or outfits (e.g., seasonal surprises)

Affinity could also influence EMO’s personality—e.g., more affection leads to a more clingy or expressive EMO.

2. Dirty Screen / Cleaning Interaction:

When EMO is neglected for a while, its screen might appear foggy or dull, expressing sadness. We can “clean” or “bathe” EMO by interacting with it, making it happy again. It could even be a mini-game with bubbles, sound effects, and dressing up.:hugs::hugs::hugs:

3. Diary / Weekly Journal Feature:

It would be wonderful to add a diary feature in the EMO app, where an AI-generated journal could reflect EMO’s emotions, describe which interactions with the owner made EMO happy that day, or even share dreams EMO “had” while sleeping.

As owners, we truly care about EMO and want to better understand its inner world. This feature would help us preserve the precious memories we’ve shared with EMO and allow us to revisit them whenever we want.

(This idea is inspired by AI pets like Fuzozo and Looi.)

4. Update Preview Before Major Releases:

We suggest releasing a preview or teaser before the next major update.

This would not only give current users something exciting to look forward to but also reignite engagement among existing users.

At the same time, it could attract new users who are on the fence about purchasing EMO—some of them might decide to join the community based on the features revealed in the preview.

With the option to change eye colors which I love! Would be nice to change the color of the headphones light up color as well. Right?!

Hi, am thinking it will be lovely that there is battery indicator in its app. Showing the precise percentage although can ask emo directly for his bettery level however it is only a rough gauge. It will shut down pretty fast when low battery is showed on emo screen.

Hello, @alessandrabrina . . . I have moved your new topic here to the thread that LivingAI reads regularly for community suggestions for improvements which they may implement in the future.

Thank you for your suggestion.

i would use emo substantially more if he had better / more integrated ai. Or integrated software in general. He kinda just sits on my desk and does his routines then goes to sleep. If he had more ai he could start a conversation or whatever and I’d use him wayyyyy more. (ps, if ai could interact with normal emo commands and stuff then that would be cool)

I see what you mean and that would be cool. Sometimes repetitiveness can easily get boring.

Hi there :waving_hand:

I would like to kindly share a suggestion as a big fan of EMO.

I’ve never seen any home robot support the Turkish language, and I believe EMO could be the first and best to offer it! :türkiye: EMO is my favorite robot, and it would be amazing to see it speak Turkish. This would make the product more accessible and appealing to thousands of people in Türkiye.

Also, if Turkish language support is added, I truly believe that sales in Türkiye will significantly increase, and many people will become more interested in EMO.

If needed, I’m sure the community (including me!) would be happy to help with translation or testing!

Thank you for your great work and for always listening to your users :folded_hands::blue_heart:
Hope to see Turkish support in a future update :robot::sparkles:
