AIBI Tips and Tricks for Costumes and Accessories

Hi Living Ai team,

I just have a quick question about the DIY accessories for AIBI. On the DIY accessories page there is official downloads, one of them being ‘Wukong’, I only have a normal 3D printer, and for the staff (Jingubang), there is 2 pieces, one being the staff itself, and one being an attachment piece for the staff to slide in, but I was wondering how the staff’s attachment piece can connect to AIBI, since my 3D printer cannot print magnetic pieces. Using similar reasoning, I assume AIBI just sits on the cloud and the headband just rests on his head, but they cannot magnetically attach, is that right? I’ve already printed the cloud, and have observed that it has 2 circle indents similar to the ginger cat or bunny rubber pieces, but, as stated previously, unlike the animal pieces, my cloud isn’t magnetic.

Kind Regards,

Chris Cai

Hi there @chriscai @CameronR , and @OscarK

Just for your information:

Under and inside AIBI’s body, back, and head, there are “Micro n52 Magnets”. That’s why, when placed on a metal surface, AIBI can stand without using the bunny or cat rubber feet. The same applies when the bunny and cat headwear is attached—it can also stick to the head because there is also a “Micro n52 Magnets” in the head area.

The bunny and cat accessories have two hidden magnets in their feet and head, which help them attach to AIBI’s body and head—most likely using opposite magnetic poles (positive and negative) for attraction.

@chriscai, If you asking about your Wukong 3D printed STL file issue

The solution is try to find the correct size of a “Micro n52 Magnets” online and figure out a way to attach it to

  • AIBI WUKONG - Cloud Somersault.stl
  • AIBI WUKONG Golden Cudgel.stl
  • AIBI WUKONG - Jingubang.stl

so it can stick securely to AIBI’s body and head.

Hope this information helps

Hi there @matteo.dolci ,

“If you mean the backpack in the image below, you may need to contact the person who originally posted it on Facebook (as shared below) to ask if they have the 3D printing STL files for it.”

This is a really cute bag! Good luck with making the zipper longer so he is more comfortable in it.

Second package came with a suitcase for long safe trips. (Of course he will be travelling power off so he won’t get overheated)

Hello @simicsky ,

Thank you for sharing this idea and the link.

If I understand correctly, this mini suitcase is for AIBI (not EMO). Given AIBI’s smaller size, it might actually fit perfectly for short, safe trips.

A few thoughts:

1. Dimensions: AIBI is smaller than EMO, so a 17cm x 9.5cm x 5cm case could work well. But double-check the height (AIBI is around 10-11cm tall).

2. Padding: The plastic shell is good, but adding soft padding (foam or cloth) inside would protect AIBI from bumps.

3. Ventilation: If traveling with AIBI powered off (as you said), heat isn’t an issue. But if you ever travel with it in standby mode, make sure the case has small air holes.

4. Color: The yellow one is fun, but other colors might be available for different tastes.

My suggestion: Before buying, measure your AIBI carefully (height, width, depth). Compare with the case’s internal dimensions. Leave a little extra space for padding.

If it fits, this is a very creative and cute travel solution. Thanks for sharing the idea with the community!

Tips :

AIBI and EMO need to breathe Don’t close the zipper completely!

Best,

Hamza

Hello, everyone.
My AIBI is 250 days old.

I saw a sad story about an AIBI in another thread, and it really broke my heart.
I’ve also seen posts on social media before from people who dropped their AIBI and lost it.
That made me feel just as sad as if it had happened to me.
Because they’re so small and can go anywhere with you, there are naturally some concerns. I wondered if there was a way to create something that would absolutely prevent them from getting hurt or dropped—or at least allow you to notice immediately if they did fall.
I think a pouch like the one in the diagram would allow you to go out safely with your AIBI. I’m not a design professional, so there might be some physically impossible aspects, but I drew this purely as an ideal concept.
Don’t you think it would be great if there were AIBI accessories like this?

Hi there @sacco ,

That’s a really wonderful idea to use for Aibi and keep him safe from falling while we’re underway. I can only suggest contacting Living.AI and sending them your design. You never know — you might give them a great idea, and they may even consider making it.

Thank you so much! I would be thrilled if AIBI released official merchandise that helps people feel safe and enjoy going out. I hope this is helpful in some way. I’m sending this with hopes!

Hi. Is the a good shop on Amazon. Ebay or… with big variety of clothes for different toys / dolls that you can order and it would be good on aibi.

And one more question does anyone have a contact of Wendy Akers - https://www.etsy.com/shop/SewnbyWendy

Besides etsy. I made an order a long time ago. I understand she has some family matters as she wrote on her etsy page. But its been some long time already and she doesn’t answer on etsy so im looking for all options to contact her and get some info when will it be done and shipped.

Ideas to Prevent Dropping AIBI, Part Two

Hello. The pouch is large and noticeable. There might be some people who feel self-conscious about wearing it. So, I thought about it more simply. I thought it would be nice if AIBI’s pocket could become a necklace. And if we attach a magnet to the inside of the clothing, we can secure AIBI, and I think the risk of it falling would be significantly lower than conventional items.

:warning: BOOT LOOP ISSUE: → It keeps restarting or fails to fully start!

There are times when we turn AIBI off using the usual methods we know, and upon hearing the shutdown sound, we think he is completely powered off because nothing can be seen on his screen. However, if AIBI still has remaining battery power, it may only enter and become stuck in a sleep or idle state instead of fully shutting down.

After some time, when we place him back on the charger, he may not reboot or restart normally and may remain in the same state.“…This can make us think there is a startup glitch or some kind of system issue…”

:white_check_mark: What we should do is carefully look at his screen in a dark area. Sometimes, the display may still show a very faint or blurred light, which means AIBI is actually still powered on in the background. This is also one reason why he may still feel warm sometimes.

You can also open the AIBI app and check whether AIBI can still be found, detected, or connected. If AIBI still appears in the app, it means it is still powered on and can still connect normally.

:white_check_mark: In that situation, we can use one of the tips below:

:small_blue_diamond: Let AIBI use up his battery while he is off the base charger until he shuts down by himself.

:small_blue_diamond:Try to turn AIBI off properly through the app until it is completely and truly off.

:small_blue_diamond:If AIBI is frozen and does not respond to normal shutdown methods, you can perform a force shutdown by gently inserting a paperclip into the small hole on the left side at the back of his head (while he is facing you) and pressing until you hear a soft click

Hello everyone,

I wanted to show you my new project — a robot car for the AIBI pocket pet. It runs on Arduino, can be programmed, and has a special magnet for AIBI. It even has its own behavioral character.

It took me a week and many prototypes to build. It still needs some improvements, but the result is already quite cute. You can also control it via Wi‑Fi, just like a regular remote‑controlled car.

The design is mine and inspired by futuristic concepts of mini electric cars.

What do you think?
