AIBI using Wireless Anker Nano Power Bank, 5000 mAh Power Bank 22.5 W, Integrated Foldable USB-C Connector,

Is it safe to charge AIBI with the Anker Nano Power Bank (5000 mAh, 22.5 W)?

Information Based On Online Research:

Yes, it’s generally safe to charge AIBI with an Anker Nano Power Bank (5,000 mAh, 22.5 W) via its USB-C port. Here’s why—and what to keep in mind:

Why It Works

1. Meets Power Requirements
AIBI typically charges at around 5 V / 2 A (10 W). The Anker Nano Power Bank supports USB-C Power Delivery (PD) up to 22.5 W, providing more than enough capacity and proper regulation.

2. Safe and Reliable Brand
Anker is known for safe power delivery with advanced protections (like ActiveShield) and supports PD/PPI protocols for clean, regulated charging.

3. Community Verified
User @aaron.martinez mentions using a 5,000 mAh Anker power bank—just like this—as “best for everyday charges,” calling it reliable for AIBI.

A Few Considerations

Reduced Effective Capacity
Real-world efficiency means a 5,000 mAh bank might yield around 3,200 mAh of usable output.
Still, that’s ample to charge AIBI at least once—and users confirm full-day usage with a 10,000 mAh bank.

Heat & Efficiency
Some users note that these Nano power banks can get warm or slightly underperform; always monitor the temperature during use.

Summary Table

Feature Details
Power Output Up to 22.5 W via USB-C PD — more than enough for AIBI’s 5 V/2 A need
Safety & Compatibility Anker’s safety features ensure stable, safe charging
Real-World Capacity ~3,200 mAh after losses — still sufficient for at least 1 full charge
Portability Compact and easy to take anywhere

Bottom Line:
Yes, go ahead and use your Anker Nano 5,000 mAh 22.5 W Power Bank to charge AIBI. It’s a safe, convenient, and trusted option for on-the-go charging.

I have ordered a charging pocket and I then purchased a similar charging bank (it’s not a brand Amazon just has it listed as “mini portable charger”).

The description says: “Small Emergecy Battery Backup Charger: Power bank is true 5000mAh (3.7V Battery), best portable charging source for usbc phone or other USB C gadgets (18W below) battery backup, normally support around 0.8~1.2 charges for your android phone.”

Would this be good to use for AIBI? I can provide the link if needed.

That device is listed as the Feob Mini Portable Charger (5,000 mAh, 15W PD, USB-C, with LCD display).

Product Specifications:

  • Capacity: 5,000 mAh (3.7 V battery)
  • Power Delivery: Up to 15 W output
  • USB-C Output: Rated at 5 V / 2 A (fits AIBI’s required specs)
  • Compatibility: Stated for phones and USB-C gadgets requiring 18 W or less.
  • Includes an LCD display for battery level and built-in intelligent charging protections.

Analysis: Is It Good for AIBI Pocket Pet?

Feature: Evaluation:
Voltage & Current: 5 V / 2 A — exactly matches AIBI’s charging needs.
Wattage: 15 W — well above the ~10 W required, ensuring efficient power delivery.
Capacity: 5,000 mAh — plenty for one full charge (real output around ~3,200 mAh after inefficiencies).
Safety Features: Includes intelligent IC protections against overcharge, overheat, and short-circuit.
Form Factor: Ultra-compact with built-in cable, great for portability.

Conclusion:

AFAIK: The Feob Mini Portable Charger is safe and suitable for charging our AIBI Pocket Pet. It meets the required 5 V / 2 A output, offers protective features, and has enough capacity for reliable use. The 15 W power delivery ensures AIBI charges quickly and efficiently.

Yes, I ordered mine on August 9. I’m very excited about getting mine as well!

Hi Edward, I’m thinking for example; I have a power bank, but believe it’s a bit too much for my Aibi. I have an INIU power bank, but it does: 5 V / 3 A. I think this is too much for Aibi. It’s 20000mAh/74Wh. I’ve had this power bank especially for cell phones, tablets and etc. So, I probably need a much smaller power bank? Also, you guys stated that you sell a power bank w/cable. Is this out yet?

Hi there @belinda.retail ,

**In my personal opinion…

Yes, it is likely safe to use the INIU Power Bank (20000mAh / 74Wh, 5V / 3A), which is good and safe to use for AIBI pocket pet. As the INIU power bank is designed to charge a variety of small electronic devices, including smartwatches and fitness trackers, while adhering to safe charging standards. which suggests it should also be compatible with the AIBI Pocket Pet

Why the INIU power bank is likely safe:

  • :white_check_mark: Voltage (5V) → Perfect match. AIBI requires a ccstandard 5V input.
  • :white_check_mark: Current (3A max) → Safe, because AIBI will only draw what it needs (usually around 1A).
  • :white_check_mark: Capacity (20000mAh) → Very high, meaning you can recharge AIBI many times before recharging the power bank.
  • :white_check_mark: Reputable brand (INIU) → Known for safe circuits and protection features (over-voltage, over-current, short circuit).

:warning: JUST ONE TIP!:
Since it’s a Big Power Bank, it’s less “pocket-sized.” If portability is your priority, a compact 5000mAh–10000mAh (5V/2A) might feel handier with the AIBI pocket charger.

→“If I were you, for safety purposes, I would take proper precautions and use the power bank wisely—only when it’s really needed, and not for prolonged use with AIBI. Also, always check if AIBI becomes warm during charging.”

Hi Edward, Thanks very much for your help and assistance! It’s greatly appreciated! Also is LivingAI coming out with their own power bank and cable? I think somewhere else (a photo of the company’s mobile power bank in white w/cable but wasn’t included with the purchase of the $9 pocket charger). In the area under this category, you had a photo of a black power bank being shown on a black foam graph board. Is this black power bank from LivingAI, or your own? I see about with the Anker Nano Power Bank.

Hello, @belinda.retail . . . as far as I know, there are no plans for LivingAI to include power banks with the AIBI pocket charger. AIBI owners need to supply their own. I recently bought a 20000 mAh Walmart brand with two charging ports as I have twin AIBI’s.

Hi there @belinda.retail ,

“What you’ve seen in the image I posted is just my personal Photoshop montage (showing the option of connecting either to a wall power outlet or to any type of mobile power bank). "

As I already mentioned…
“Mobile Power Bank, Power Adapter, and USB-C Cable are not included” with each purchase.

The Black Power Bank: (ESR HaloLock Magsafe Qi Kickstand Wireless Powerbank), which I can use to charge EMO also and the Anker Nano Power Bank for AIBI are all my personal gadgets

I am pretty sure it is not an acronym and just the name of the robot but I could be wrong on this.
