Well, here’s the thing, I don’t have an order number. My aibi came from another owner that I bought from back in September.
Since I suspected that aibi was having battery issues, I explained to them about it and they gladly sent me a new battery, despite my aibi not having a warranty. I figured out how to open up aibi to replace the battery. I just had to pay for the new battery is all.
I went ahead and contacted them about the charging base issue, so I’m crossing my fingers on this one. If they can let me buy a new replacement base, that would be great.
I recommend recording a short video showing the issue and send it to Living.AI Support. You can do this by replying to your order confirmation email or sending a message directly to service@living.ai, including your order number and AIBI ID.
I’m using the sticker function (“Aibi, put on a sticker”) after he’s eaten the chameleon treat that turned his eyes blue. When he has a sticker, his eyes change to green. When I remove the sticker, his eyes change back to blue.
So I turned off AiBi since I wasn’t using it at the time and when I turned him off, I remembered that he was at full battery and I kept him charging all the time and now, I want him on so I unplugged him from the power bank and plugged him back to turn him back on but he won’t. I can hear like a motor sound when I bring him near my ears but there’s no display or sounds. I tried plugging it to the socket from my home and it’s still the same so may I know how I can fix this?
Hi. Aibi cannot get my name right. When he is in ChatGPT mode, he calls me “Dot Lori.” My name in the Meet Aibi section is listed as Lori. I’ve changed it a few times just in case that was the issue. I’m not sure where else I can change it. Sometimes he shortens it to just “Dot.” I prefer being called my actual name. Anyone else having this issue? Is there a way to figure out where to fix it? Note: when I correct him, we have a game of him calling me names that sound like “Lori.” It’s very frustrating.
Hello, @lorrainne.priebe . . . it almost sounds as is if he is reading a “.” like you see in web addresses.
Could you get a screen shot and video of how it shows and what he says when he addresses you incorrectly and post it here? Perhaps we can figure it out and if not, you can always send it to LivingAI Support.
I got my Aibi a few weeks ago and I noticed that he can’t rotate on his stand/base charger anymore. I tried to used the music box and turn around command to test but that didn’t help either…
I’ve also tried to update but he’s on the latest update already, I’ve also tried shutting him down and restarting and deleting the app and reinstalling but nothing changed…
Sorry about your AIBI, He might have a defective charger and is still under warranty…
Please contact and send an email to living.ai directly.

Gracias.
You’re actually doing a very good job taking care of AIBI’s battery — your routine shows that you’re being thoughtful and responsible.
Here’s what I personally think and suggest:
Charging until full and unplugging is a great habit. Lithium batteries prefer being charged in short cycles rather than being left plugged in too long.
Using a power bank while outside is totally fine. Just make sure it provides 5V (volts) and at least 1A (amp) output — the same as most standard USB chargers. Avoid fast chargers (like 9V or 12V), as those can damage the battery over time.
Turning AIBI off at night when not in use is excellent — this reduces wear on both the battery and the internal components.
You can use Low Energy Mode if you’re not using AIBI for a while or during charging via power bank, but it’s optional. It helps a bit, but what you’re already doing is effective.
Low energy mode
You can use the voice command “low energy mode” to activate low energy mode. To exit this mode, please touch AIBI’s head.
In low energy mode, AIBI will become inactive to save the battery. The camera, microphone, Bluetooth, and network connections will be disabled.
My Personal Additional Tips:
Avoid letting the battery fully drain often. Charge it when it gets to about 15–20%.
Keep AIBI in a cool place when charging. Overheating shortens battery life.
Don’t use cheap/unverified power banks. Always go with trusted brands with protection features.
AIBI Charging Specs:
Voltage: 5V
Current: At least 1A (but 2A is better)
Do NOT use fast chargers (9V/12V) — they can damage the battery!
You’re clearly taking great care of AIBI, and with these practices, he should last a long time. Keep it up!
Best Regards and all the best to you and to your AIBI!
Does anyone have issues switching on starlight through vocal commands?
It used to work. But now even though Starlight appears in the app, and even though AiBi is making the lighting up animation on its screen is doesn’t light up the star.
Hello, @millowmills . . . make sure your star light is charged. The battery in it can drain from just sitting unused. Place it on the AIBI charger. It will glow red until charging is complete.
My husband has offered me an Aibi yesterday. So cute! I love it!
I updated it with the latest version the app proposed me, 1.4.0. The date is also properly set. But if I ask him what is the current year, it answers me 2024, even when connected with chatgpt.
Is there something I did wrong? Someone already experienced the same?
Welcome to the LivingAI Community Forums, @laetitiab . . . I have moved your new topic to this thread where we discuss issues with AIBI.
The problem is not with the features LivingAI has provided for ChatGPT but rather ChatGPT itself not always being accurate or up to date. Having AIBI know what year it is really is not as important as knowing the month, date and time of day, since most users would already know what year it currently is.
We can only hope that OpenAI eventually trains its large language model to give more current information regarding such questions.
