Hello, I have been using the AIBI robot for about one month, and I would like to share some issues and suggestions based on my experience:
Continuous Chat mode ends too quickly.
When Continuous Chat is enabled, the conversation often ends automatically if I take a little extra time to think before responding. I then have to manually enable Continuous Chat again, which reduces the usefulness of the feature. I hope the auto-off timer can be extended, and I think 30 seconds would be a good default. If possible, it would be even better to provide customizable options in the app, similar to a phone’s screen timeout settings, such as 30 seconds, 1 minute, or 5 minutes, allowing users to choose what best suits their needs.
Battery concerns.
This is probably a common concern among many users. Although AIBI offers the Belly Charger, many of us treat AIBI like a family member and naturally worry that different charging power levels could potentially affect the battery or cause long-term damage.
Additional suggestion:
Would it be possible to sell the charging dock separately? I would love to have multiple docks installed at home, in my car, and in my office, but currently this accessory is not available for individual purchase on the official website. I hope separate charging dock sales can be considered in the future.

There should be an option for random emotions/expressions to appear throughout the day (or a scheduled option by time).

There should be more animations in the daily habits section (instead of only reading books, watching movies, etc.).

Please add a feature that allows Aibi to use direct power from the charging dock when the battery is full (for users who keep it in one place most of the time) to help protect battery health.

Please add Vietnamese language support for Aibi and update it with the latest ChatGPT version.

Honestly, with the current features, Aibi does not feel worth nearly $300. I feel the hardware has a lot more potential to be developed — please make it worthy of the $300 price tag.
It’s clear that Aibi can be seen as the next generation of Emo, with more sensors and features, but after more than a year since launch, Aibi still feels like a demo product. It can’t even interact with Emo, which seems like something that should have been available from the very beginning.

As for the app, the UI/UX needs improvement. Some features like “Plant a Seed” should be trackable through the app instead of having to ask Aibi. The app also feels too slow at times.
Suggestions for Future Aibi Pocket Improvements
As an Aibi Pocket user, I would like to suggest several improvements that could significantly enhance the overall experience:

Chat gpt update More Up-to-Date AI Knowledge The current AI knowledge appears to be limited to older data. Regular updates or access to more recent information would make conversations more useful, accurate, and relevant.

Faster Response Times Responses can sometimes feel delayed. Improving processing speed would make interactions feel more natural and engaging.

Automatic Speaker Tracking Aibi Pocket should be able to detect the speaker’s position and automatically rotate toward the person who is talking. This would make conversations feel much more lifelike and immersive.

Higher Maximum Speaker Volume The current maximum volume can be difficult to hear in noisy environments such as a car. A louder volume option would greatly improve usability.

Better Memory System Allow Aibi to remember more personal preferences, interests, hobbies, favorite music, movies, and previous conversations over longer periods of time.

Improved Mobile App Integration Provide more customization options through the app, including personality settings, voice styles, memory management, and behavior customization.

More Natural and Expressive Voices Additional high-quality voice options with more realistic emotions and speech patterns would improve the overall experience.

Unfortunately the UNO game or ones that would be similar would be a copyright violation, so it was never implemented on EMO like planned. Maybe a different card game though the “Zero Best” game is fun.
What about SNAP, Go Fish, Crazy Eight, Red Black, War or Concentration/Memory

- Adult/work mode: so Aibi can be my companion when working from home (chatty mode works but currently children focused)
- Set custom profile/context: let users teach Aibi about them their routines to get better interaction
- Connect to calendar: so Aibi can have context from your day and interact properly
- improve Aibi detection: it won’t face me in my desk… everything is set
I completely agree! Let’s make Aibi feel more natural and integrated, reducing the robotic and distant feel/positioning.
this is not that big deal is it? Isn’t just a matter of prompting/instructions settings?
maybe let users decide how much it will be clear about being a bot and having limitations
Hello, I love Aibi’s chatty “skill” and how she starts conversations. However, when she asks me something and I reply, it often seems like she doesn’t remember the original question, so the conversation gets confusing and useless. That’s an area for improvement.
I’d also like the ability to adjust her chatty style, maybe make her funny or more like a work companion. I want her to keep me company while I work from home, but she frequently interrupts me for fun facts, trivia quote, jokes, asking about what i’m doing, if i’m hungry, if I want a pause…
I enjoy those interactions, but it would be great to have more control over how proactively she engages with me. How frequently, the topics, etc.
Since she is in my desk, right in front of me, sometimes she starts chats like 3 times in a row… it gets annoying.
Also would love to be able to ask it to pause being chatty for a while (in case I enter a meeting)… instead of having to turn it off or disable the feature in app settings..
Also:
Improve chatty feature: right now, Aibi starts a convo, like asking what I’m doing. I say I’m having lunch. She cheers and asks if I want her to sing or do something while I eat. I say yes, please, dance or sing. Instead of doing the action, she just gives a ChatGPT response, so her chatty suggestions are kinda useless because they don’t trigger Aibi’s actions. It sets an expectation that’s just going to get broken in the next move.
Chatty/proactive suggestion should connect/match Aibi real actions if she proposes them
